Good place - Edit
Chill place with laid back atmosphere. Nice service, lots of vegan options and good portions. The masala dosa was tasty and the vegan pad Thai a little too mushy and too oily. The chili cheese fries were not exciting. My favorite was the wonderful vegan chai and the almond katsu for dessert.

Lots of good options - Edit
Almost everything can be made vegan (or is clearly labeled vegan). I eat here frequently as a local. They also don't use any eggs, and I'm pretty sure no honey, either (though it would be good to double-check). I really love their cauliflower tacos (using dosa), south indian sampler, mumbai frankie, cardamom waffles, and quesadilla with chapati bread. Their Chai lattes are also delightfully worthwhile. Note that a few things are somewhat hit-or-miss. For example, I find the falafel kind of dry. I haven't always liked their pies as they can be on the dry side and lacking flavor, but some of their recent cupcakes are delicious. If you eat in, note that they can be extremely slow. They make everything from scratch. Otherwise, it's a great environment to chill or get some work done. The interior is cozy and well-decorated. I deducted one star just because a handful of items on the menu are too dry or not as tastey as some of the other items on the menu.

Delicious - Edit
Such a great energy in this place and the menu is so easy to navigate as a vegan with a soy allergy. Everything is clearly marked with allergens. Over multiple stops in I had the best vegan pumpkin cheesecake (soy free!), masala fries, the falafel platter, lemon ginger drink, and…more cheesecake. Highly recommend.

Uniquely Delicious - Edit
A fusion of India and New Mexican cuisine, nothing like I've ever had. I ordered the breakfast burrito, but made it what they call a dosarrito made with dosa instead of the traditional tortilla. Smothered in red sauce, it was full of flavor with a pleasantly small kick. The tofu and potatoes inside were well cooked and seasoned. The vegan cheese was the cherry on top.
Read moreFor dessert, I got the pumpkin cheesecake. Texture was more like flan, but the flavor was incredible. The base cheesecake was extremely rich and creamy while the pumpkin topping was just like homemade pumpkin pie filling.
Pros: Great variety
Cons: They don't have ice for water

So many options! - Edit
The entire menu is either vegan or can be made vegan by substituting the cheese, because for some reason they have dairy cheese. The baked goods and drinks are all vegan. Definitely worth a visit or two if you’re in the area!

We didn't really like this one - Edit
We ordered Door Dash from this restaurant while on a road trip across the country. When the Dasher arrived to pick up the food, they had not yet started preparing it. I was kinda hoping this might at least mean that the food would be fresh. We really didn't enjoy anything that we got. We got 2 entrees, soup, 2 desserts, and a chai. We didn't care for the chai. I requested oat milk. It tasted like almond milk, but I don't know. The soup was our favorite part. The entrees tastes like a microwaved burrito. The desserts were really not enjoyable. The chocolate one was not edible in my opinion and the pecan one was one of the healthy tasting variety, which perhaps someone might like if they are into healthy desserts. **Five stars because we used to own a vegan cafe and we know that things are *so hard.* We really count on Happy Cow reviews though to plan our road trips so we wanted to share what we actually thought.

I agree that their desserts are the weakest thing about them. They are all very… Healthy. I’d rather personally skip dessert when I eat there.

Fresh and wonderful service - Edit
We visited late morning on a weekday. Service was exceptional, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. They were also very patient with our questions.
Read moreI had the Lebanese wrap and my dining partner had the Southern Indian Sampler and an order of Masala fries. We both had chai. Mine was the decaf and his was the regular bottomless black tea chai.
We found all the food to be delicious, although the portion for the sampler could have been larger, and my dining partner commented that if he hadn't ordered the fries, he definitely would have wanted to order something additional.
We found metered street parking. There is also a pay lot next door.
Pros: Exceptional customer service , Extensive menu almost all vegan, all well marked, Hot chai!
Cons: Some portions could be larger.

We each got a kitchari bowl and I got the blueberry bundt cake - was exactly what we needed! They were also incredibly nice! Would love to try more of their menu someday soon.

Disappointing - Edit
I was excited to eat here because of the good reviews, but I was very disappointed. Everything was bland and soggy when it should have been crispy and flavorful.

I remember coming here in high school (10 years ago now) and being amazed that vegetarian food could be so good. Annapurna has kept true to my memories, with a changing menu of delicious world cuisine.

Since moving away from ABQ, we always make this a stop on our travels back. Food is always consistent and authentic, with a lot of NM twists.

South Indian sampler - Edit
Stopped here for a quick lunch in ABQ. The food was delicious, we shared a South Indian sampler and a pistachio cupcake. I love that the menu is Ayurvedic and notates the dosha for each dish.

Good dosas and nice desserts. Unfortunately vegan options are a little scarcer than one would hope. Steer clear of any dubious fusion cuisine and stick with the classics.

It’s Pretty Good - Edit
Everything I ordered was pretty good, the cashier was super nice and helpful, and the tea was really nice! I liked everything about the experience. Only thing I have to add is that the wrap I ordered has a lot of rosemary. A LOT of rosemary. I was warned before I ordered it, but I still didn’t expect this amount of rosemary. Don’t order if you don’t REALLY love rosemary. The food was spicy (in the seasoned way not the hot way), and it was very flavorful!

Today I ordered the Vegan Dosa Enchiladas—killer! Plenty of food to fill me up on this long motorcycle ride of 900 miles. This is the halfway point, and I specifically added this to my trip itinerary.

Good Food on the Fly - Edit
With few options to get vegan cuisine in ABQ, this joint continues to make it's mark. Been going here for many years traveling through. Menu changes for the better, music has more variety, staff provides good service overall. Street parking and off bus line location. Gluten free options available, solid on the chai. Take out quantity of food is on the low side, so best to order in and get a much bigger plate, if time is no factor. Other than this, highly recommend to patronize.

Tasty varied menu - Edit
We really enjoyed the food here. We had a veggie burger, a masala dosa, and a lebanese wrap in a chapati, with sides of lentil soup and masala fries. Everything was very tasty. The dosa was different to the standard kind found in Indian restaurants but I found it delicious. There are so many options on the menu and each item comes with choices for sauces and dressings so it seemed complicated to order. But all was enjoyed. They have many vegan desserts to choose from also. We like the pecan pie but found the cupcakes to be a bit solid. The food has wonderful combinations of spices but it not 'hot' spicy which was great for us.
