I know this is controversial compared to the other reviews, but I had an average meal at Amrutha this week.
Read moreTasting menu was £33 a head, but when pressed, the staff gave an a la cart menu where you could order individual meals. I went for the Thai curry, loads of food, but the curry itself was cold and only had potato and courgette in it. Piles of pakora, which were nice but again cold. Salads and pickles were all lovely. Beautiful space though, nicely presented, enjoyed the time there.

Unique Experience - Edit
How it works at this place is that you pay a fixed price per person for a selection of tapas style dishes that can be replenished as many times as you like. So it does work out expensive, although you can often find various vouchers if you search them up. You will not go hungry as they will encourage you to order as many times as you want and box up what you cannot eat.
Read moreThe dishes really were exquisite, The best I can remember trying in a long time. Even the few spoonfuls of gazpacho to start were so flavourful that I was really blown away. They then brought out a beetroot slaw, crunchy kale salad, some mung beans and my absolute favourite - the cashew cream cheese - it was divine!
Next came the rice, pakoras, chilli jam, bhajis, a spicy Thai curry and another creamy Indian style curry. All of it was exceptional.
For drinks, there was complimentary tea and we also tried an amazing mango lassi which tasted like a dessert in a glass. They don't sell alcohol but you can bring your own with no corkage fee.
Our only fault was that despite the radiator blasting out heat it did seem to be particularly cold in the place (it was winter when we went.)
We'll be back. So many vegan places seem to be closing, we hope they stay in business. Help them out and go!

Visited with Drooling Vegans group (sounded like somebody went to the other branch by mistake!), to share the £34pp Grande Selection, and left both full and with leftovers. Sadly missed out on the last £7 cheezecake, so I'll HAVE to return. Well worth a visit, and our support.

Delicious food, and lots of it! - Edit
This place is effectively an all-you-can-eat with either the regular or large selections as the two main menu choices. I got the large one and everything was great (although the regular size selection is more than enough food, be prepared to take at least some of it away!). I was too full to try the desserts but the mango lassi was really nice, as was the complementary tea!

Could not recommend this place enough. Such a good vibe and everyone is lovely. The food is unbelievable and unlimited refills is dangerous! I love that you can take leftovers home. Don’t even get me started on the desert. Unreal!

I love this place! The food is delicious and offers a refreshing change from traditional Indian cuisine. The flavors are wonderful, and there’s a great variety of dishes. I especially appreciated the set menu, as it made ordering easy and stress-free. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming.

We went for my fiancé’s birthday and staff looked after us so well. The food was delicious and extremely plentiful! In the evening they serve two versions of a set menu, I’m not sure how often it changes so it might get a bit samey after a while but for a delicious vegan night out can’t fault it!

A wonderfully warming and welcoming experience at Amrutha! We went for the grandé selection where we could try a little of everything (and refills if you can manage!). The flavours and variety were sublime. Particular highlights were the Thai green curry, gespacho, pakoras and daal.

Incredible food, great service. Had the selection of dishes, and everything tasted ridiculously good. I recommend beet gazpacho, kale salad and Buddha curry. Definitely coming back to try these in regular sizes.

Oh my goodness, where to start! From the warm welcome to the divine food, we’re so glad Amrutha have spread their wings to our bit of SE London. We hadn’t booked and the place was packed, but Jerry somehow squeezed us in, then upgraded us from our choice of the Original Selection, a veritable feast of curries and pakoras and salads and chutneys, to the Selection Grande as he wanted us “to try everything”! The food is so fresh and flavoursome, filling without being in the slightest bit heavy, and beautifully presented. Arvin came over to say hello and treated us to dessert - seriously, the best vegan ice cream I’ve ever tasted. What a wonderful addition to Honor Oak - I can’t wait to go back 🧡

So delighted that Amrutha has opened its second branch in Honor Oak. The restaurant was packed on the night we visited. We ordered a set selection of dishes and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious. Amazing mixed veg pakoras. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Good value for money. Prices are similar to other restaurants in the area, and you can ask for as many refills as you want. Also you can bring your own wine and they don’t charge for corkage.
