Fine vegan dining

We had the ‘regular’ tasting menu and had a wonderful evening. The dishes were creative, beautifully presented and tasted good. It was let down by the drinks we requested being unavailable. The only non-alcoholic option they had was water or juice, whereas they would usually have kombucha. They also didn’t have the first wine we ordered.

Pros: 100% vegan, Fine dining

Cons: Missing a lot of their drink options

A wonderful experience

What a delight to find such a fine restaurant in a chaotic city like La Paz. The atmosphere is very peaceful. We enjoyed the 8 course menu with non-alcoholic drink pairing. The menu and the taste journey was very well balanced. The drinks were super interesting, for example chocolate-tamarind juice and carambola-eukalyptus juice. We left 2.5 hours later surprised, very full and satisfied.

Pros: Interesting yet simple flavours, The atmosphere and the element of surprise, The whole menu is built on local products

Great experience and delicious food!

Would definitely recommend coming here. You can choose between a 3-, 4-, or 8-course menu and the menu is always a surprise. The servings are not big but we were full after the 3-course meal which costs only 100 BOB! They also serve an appetizer and bread in between. Highly recommend!

Pros: Delicious food, Flavors, Friendly staff

More an experience than actually eating, but amazing!

Make sure you've had proper lunch, this is more of an experience than filling your stomach. But highly recommended!

Wow! Great experience

I really loved the experience of small dishes with cool and different flavors! The dishes were so good and in the end I was very full.
You can get 3/5/8 dishes and I would definitely recommend coming here.

Fine vegan dining

This restaurant offers fine vegan dining. All of the dishes look like pieces of art. There is no menu as every day the kitchen creates new dishes and everyone gets the same food. Food was nice but to be honest it was a bit on the pricier side and not really worth the price. The staff are not friendly. They’re not rude, but they don’t really make you feel welcomed. When they come to the table for each dish, they explain what it is and then they quickly leave. As if they’re too busy for you. They never come to ask how the food was and when we were leaving not one staff member said goodbye. Not the experience you would expect from a fine dining restaurant.

Pros: Pretty food

Cons: Expensive, Non-friendly staff

Too expensive

Honesty, I never went but we wanted to go but after looking at the prices decided it wasn’t worth it! They claim they’re the only vegan restaurant which might be true but there’s tons of other places with options that are way cheaper! I don’t think those prices are worth it in Bolivia!

Pros: Beautiful food, All vegan

Cons: Too expensive

Great experience!

So much fun trying a gourmet vegan restaurant in Bolivia. We tried the full eight course meal for 300 BOB. Most of the courses were delicious but some were misses. Sadly, the staff doesn’t speak English so it was difficult to understand what the different dishes were.

A great taste discovery but too many drinks with the pairing

We had the extended menu with 8 courses.
Almost all dishes are extremely interesting and tasty.

The service is great too.

The two issues:
Each of the portions is really small when taking the 8 course menu and we left a bit hungry...
When taking the drink pairing option, there is a drink for each course, although smaller than usual. Still, compared to the food , there is way too much to drink!
Sharing one drink pairing among two, would be ideal.

Pros: Great discovery of new tastes , Cozy and classy , Attentive and friendly staff

Cons: Small portions , Too much alcohol vs food with the drink pairing

Not amazing but creative combinations

The food was not exceptional, tasted good/ok and looked nice. Its nice to have such an option in La Paz.

The service however does not match the service you would find in a “fancy restaurant” in Europe. For ex, they initially refused to serve us a glass of a certain wine (from the menu) because they didn’t have a bottle of it that was already open.

There seemed to be not heating.

Nice interior decoration.

Pros: Nice option to have in the city, Nice flavours, Cheap comparing to EU

Cons: Not the best service, Not exceptional flavours

Plant based fine dining - a must visit!

Visited in July 2017. This is probably the best value vegan fine dining experience you will ever have. Amazing 7 courses meal for our last night in La Paz. Every single dish was a piece of art and totally delicious. Still one of our fondest memories from our travels.

A dining experience like no other

We saved Ali Pacha for our last meal in La Paz and we are so glad we did. Come hungry, you will get full! The maracuya, beet and peppermint juice, Get it. We got the 6 course dinner, it was superb. Every dish was a different experience and the staff was exceptional.

Thank you!

vegan fine dining!

One of the few vegan restaurants where you get the chance to experience fine dining. Although it is quite expensive, it is definitley worth its price if you are looking for creative, well plated food!

Pros: fine dining, friendly stuff, great atmosphere

Cons: really expensive

Very tasty gourmet vegan restaurant

A real fine dining experience of vegan food right in the centre of La Paz. Incredible food that is meticulously prepared by the chef and each course is described to us as it's served - amazing! We chose the "short" option which is only available during lunch timed, but it was still 5 courses, mind you each dish was relatively small do don't let that put you off 😁. The short menu was 100 Bolivianos, slightly pricey for La Paz, but very reasonable compared to some specific tourist restaurants with lower quality food - definitely worth it.

Pros: All vegan fine dining, Amazing juices, No menu, so you don't have to decide!

Cons: No menu, you get what is prepared that day, More on the pricey side, but definitely worth it

Fantastic Dinner

We enjoyed ourselves so much here! The Food is a fantastic turn on Bolivian ingredients. Music and Service are great, they make atmosphere. But the best: the cocktails are so interesting and delicious. Go here!!!

Pros: Small price for fine dining, The Cocktails!!!

Cons: The portions are bit small. Go for 7-course-menu!

Perfect!!!

We have never been to a restaurant like this, because in Germany we wouldn't have the money for it. For bolivian circumstances it might be expensive, but if you are in La Paz you HAVE to go there! You may never get another chance for tasting such great and imaginative vegan food combinations. And for a very good price, too! We had a 5-dishes-menu and paid 19€ per person. You don't have to take a drink to the food, because they serve filtered water as much as you want. The waiters are very friendly and nearly treat you like a king 😄

Mind Blown!

Fine dining, Bolivian & seasonal. We had the 7 course with alcohol, excellent value for money for a fine dining experience. We were a large group and the head chef came out and told us what everything was even describing the regional wine! I dream about this place, and will return on my next visit! Totally satisfied best vegan restaurant I have been to in the world!

no words...

can really describe this amazing place. Everything was just perfect. We orderd the 7 course menu accompanied one with alcohol and one with non-alcohol beverages. If you have the chance do it that way, there will be so many surprises.

The only evening we had in la paz couldn't be any better.

Excellent quality Vegan food. (If pretty pricey!)

This really is a first class place to dine, with great attention to detail and very good service too. For that "special" event I'd highly recommend it. But...it is pricey and you need to allow plenty of time for the numerous courses to be presented. Enjoy!

Pros: excellent quality food, Very good service, Very nice atmosphere

Cons: Expensive., Set menu may not suit everyone

A must when in La Paz

If you’re in La Paz and vegan, or not vegan but curious, then Ali Pacha is a must. It’s a bit difficult to find, but once you do, you’re in for a real treat!

I was recently in La Paz and visited the restaurant twice, once with my wife, the other with our group of 25 vegans. Both experiences were supberb.

The menu didn’t vary much between my two visits but I didn’t mind.

Both times we had the 5 course menu without pairings and it was plenty of food.

There are many layers to the flavors and it’s as visually pleasing as it is tasty.

They can work with allergies and are very accommodating. Our entire group had no onions or garlic in our food and it was delicious!

It might be considered pricey by Bolivian standards, but the same meal would
easily cost two to three times as much in any major city in the U.S.

Pros: Food, Atmospher, Service

Cons: Can be tricky to find.
