Vegan specialty food shop expanded to incorporate a cafe in 2016. Features daily specials plus salads, cheese sandwiches, and burgers. The shop sells a variety of gourmet vegan cheeses, such as cashew-cheddar and macadamia-dried tomato. Also offers prepared cakes and sweets some of which are raw, breads, spreads, olive oil, and granola. Became fully vegan in 2017. Open Mon-Thu 8:00am-10:30pm, Fri 8:00am-4:00pm, Sun 8:00am-10:30pm.

nice little place with lots of things to try - Edit
This was a nice place with options for lunch and breakfast. They had the standard menu and also a lot of specials too - I went for the ciabatta which was tofu and seaweed mix with rocket and tomatoes - it was really good. Also had their house tea which was a delicious and calming green tea!

A must ! - Edit
Each time I am in Tel Aviv I stop by Alegria. It is a little restaurant/shop where I am always happy to taste vegan food.
Staff is friendly and the dishes are really amazing. You should try the Caesar Salad or the blue cheese one. The lemon pie style dessert is so incredible...
Warm dishes are very good too so I never hesitate to try the new ones. Probably my favorite place to eat in Tel Aviv.

heavenly "blue cheese" - Edit
I had a very good "blue cheese" salad. The cheese was delicious but the salad dressing was too tart for my taste. I still would go back for that cheese.

I love the Camembert sandwich and the deserts!
Quality delicious vegan food.
Not sure why it's labeled as vegetarian as I believe it's all vegan.

Nice place - Edit
I liked Alegria. They have a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches. I had a good croissant with cheese. I was a bit disappointed to arrive at 930 am and get day-old pastries. I even saw the new ones come in, though I was assured I was getting fresh ones. I could taste they were not. But otherwise, very worthwhile. We bought a take away vegan apple crumble that was pretty amazing.

still relatively unknown, but everything here is sooo good - Edit
We've been there twice for lunch and on both times everything we had was delicious (on the first visit in was a huge bulgur salad and a croissant sandwich and on the second time it was an 'omelet' sandwich and 'fish' patties with whole rice). Everything is as delicious as it is healthy so it's hard to choose what to take, but you can also buy lots of things to take home like excellent cashew cheeses, 'egg' salad and frozen lasagna. The portions seem small but are very hearty and filling.
Pros: vegan, delicious, menu changes
Cons: seating isn't the most comfortable

Amazing Artisan Vegan Cheeses! Don't Miss It! - Edit
I had the good fortune to receive a lovely gift basket from Alegria, a mostly-vegan gourmet deli. There were gourmet chocolates, a cake, spreads, and artisan cheeses - all vegan! One cheese was Roquefort made from cashews and it was just devine - it tasted exactly like the French cheese. I also loved the labaneh made from almonds - it's a Middle Eastern creamy spread with a lemon tang and with olive oil and za'atar (hyssop). This place has the best selection of vegan cheeses in Tel Aviv - don't miss it!
There's also a selection of prepared food like lasagna, quiche and more.

Vegan Cottage Cheese! - Edit
Great small place for vegan specials. My favourite is the vegan cottage cheese. I really loved it and I want to know how they make it. It's really delicious. Everyone who tried it thought it's the "real" cottage cheese. From my point of view, they are right. It's the right one, not the dairy version. ;) They are very helping and let you try different kind of cheese so you can find the best for yourself for sure.
But I'm not so sure, that they are 100% vegan. I wanted to buy some sweets (chocolateballs with coconut) and I was told, that they are not vegan. Wasn't asking what's not the vegan part in it. Maybe "only" honey. Anyway even if they are not 100% vegan, they know exactly what's vegan and help you.
Pros: friendly staff, great vegan cheese, fair prices

Brok O. Lee 23 Jul 2015 - Hi Davida,
I'm going to try that cottage cheese! Sounds great. And we are updating the listing. There was a mistake and we have verified that the place is only about 80% vegan and not 100%.
