Very clean and beautifully decorated place, with a welcoming atmosphere. The dishes were delicious, freshly prepared, and served very quickly. The desserts were displayed for everyone to see, with a wide selection that all seemed homemade – and every one we tried was delicious! The matcha, in particular, tasted excellent.

We came for lunch as we heard good things. The view was stunning and the atmosphere was really nice. We tried their salads and noodle dishes which both were so flavorful and delicious. There were so many things on the menu that looked and sounded so good, but we didn't get a chance to try them. I knocked a star because sadly, we tried 3 desserts and didn't enjoy any of them. They looked amazing, but sadly the flavors and balance were off.

After several weeks of delicious fried or heavy salted foods, it was refreshing to eat at a place like Alchemy.
Read moreThey have an extensive menu of bowls, salads, juices, and other items that is very nourishing filling. My personal favorites were everything I got this night which was the lentil soup, Caesar salad, and the Bali Bowl with a strawberry milkshake at the end.
Given how easy it is to eat an unhealthy vegan meal in Tokyo, I will be coming back here to ensure my body is rejuvenated.

What a name! "Alchemy" sounds like achieving the impossible or even deeper: it sounds like spiritual chemistry. Perhaps something impossible like preparing a good meal without killing animals?
Read moreNo matter what: the setting is great. "Alchemy" is easy to find because it is located in a newly opened shopping mall (Azabudai Hills). And looks absolutely gorgeous! One just likes to be here for the design.
What we didn't like, was the process of ordering food. There's a tiny QR code on the table and when one finally succeeds to scan it, one has to use the tiny little screen of a smart phone to navigate trough the menu (Japanese and English). What a pain! What's wrong with the good old paper menu? Or at least supply a tablet computer with a decent size screen at the table. Once we got trough the process, we never managed to add any more items, so we never ordered drinks or dessert even though we wanted to.
We had the Caesar salad and the "born in Bali" bowl. Both were good, but not out of the ordinary. The presentation is good, the taste is good and the nutritional value is okay. And... the price is fair. So in the end, the magic of this branch of alchemy is in the location and the beauty of the restaurant itself.
Pros: great setting, decent food, decent price

Located inside the Azabudai Hills mall, nearby Tokyo Tower. The whole place looks really fancy but the price wasn't too bad. We arrived 30 minutes before their closing time but we were still welcomed and able to order dinner inside. The staff was kind, understanding and quick to serve our food. Unfortunately we had to rush a bit while eating so we couldn't fully enjoy the food but it was really fresh and quite delicious. Very fulfilling, clean and healthy. It's a build your own bowl kind of place, you can add or remove ingredients to their dishes. I would definitely go back.
