Serves fish, vegan options available. The noodle items are the only non-vegan items as they contain fish stock; does not use meat, egg, or dairy. Around 80% of the menu is vegan, including all desserts. Staff is vegan aware. NOTE: Please verify if fish stock is still used. Open Tue-Sun 11:00am-5:00pm. May close earlier on ocassion - call ahead.

Lunch set

Beautiful lunch set! Entire menu is vegetarian - the miso soup and tofu side dish was delicious. Lovely place to sit with nice interior, would definitely come back!

Decent option for vegans

The rice set plate offers miso, rice and 4-5 small veggie dishes. It's a decent meal and nice to get something traditional on Naoshima. Disappointing that they don't label that the hot noodle dish contains fish sauce. But typical in Japan!

Pros: Set meal is nice , Traditional setting , English menu

Cons: Not labelling fish sauce , Limited dishes

Good and tasty food

Very tasty and good value vegan set menu for 850yen. The staff are really welcoming and friendly, english translation of lunch menu available.
The best vegan meal we had during our 3 week trip.

Highly recommended.

Pros: friendly staff, tasty food, quick service

Cons: small portions

Surprise delight on Naoshima

A well balanced treat; pleasant ambience, superb value vegan set menu for 850yen, vegan desserts, and friendly staff. Would rate five stars if possible.

Pros: Amazing atmosphere

Cons: Single vegan option

So tasty!

Tried to rate this 5/5 stars but the app doesn't allow it because it's been listed as "vegetarian" - anyway. I'm not sure how this hasn't been rated yet as the food is great and the restaurant itself was beautiful. We got the lunch set and it was incredible. Worth the little detour whilst visiting the island.
