Midweek vegan delight - Edit
Great to find a restaurant open midweek and earlier than most (open for dinner from 7 pm) with delicious vegan food. We had Thai curry, ravioli stuffed with pumpkin and a tortilla. Staff were lovely and even modified the tortilla for our little one so it wasn’t at all spicy. Food was great and arrived quickly. Lots of seating and a nice ambiance. Only a short walk from the Cathedral.

A Porta Verde es un sitio de buena comida y ambiente tranquilo. Carta con muchas opciones, todas veganas, al que ir a comer en el contexto que sea.
Read moreAdemás de un variado menú en ocasiones tienen platos fuera de carta, de los que te informarán gustosamente. Dentro del menú hay bastante variedad, y siempre que he ido he pedido cosas distintas sin aún encontrarme con algo que no me gustase.
El local es acogedor y su personal tiene un trato maravilloso. Nunca he tenido que reservar mesa, ya que no suele estar lleno, pero nunca está de más.
No es un restaurante de comida rápida, pero la comida tampoco se demora demasiado en llegar. Por unos 15-17 euros se come más que bien por persona.

Read moreThe beetroot hummus and quesadilla were decent – but let’s be honest, those are hard to mess up.
Service-wise, the waitress was lovely – friendly, polite, and doing her best.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The Sorrentinos were shockingly bland. A few tiny bits of sundried tomato gave the slightest hint of flavour, but not nearly enough to save the dish. I’d seen other reviews praising it, so either the recipe’s changed, the chef was having an off day, or I just have a different palate – but to me, it was completely devoid of flavour.
The “cheesecake” was another letdown – barely sweet and with a strange, rough texture. It tasted exactly like one of those “healthy” versions of a dessert that forgets the point: none of the indulgence, all of the disappointment.
What really sealed it for me, though, was the attitude from management. After trying one Sorrentino and explaining that it had no flavour, I sent it back. The waitress returned, clearly embarrassed, to inform me that “the boss said he doesn’t care if you liked it – you have to pay anyway.” I hadn’t even refused to pay! But that dismissive and rude response guaranteed I won’t be back.
Frankly, you’re much better off at A Vexeta Corre or A Medusa – both offer tastier food, friendlier service, easier access, and all at a fraction of the price.
I paid in full, took the disappointing dishes to go, and gave them to the first homeless person I saw – someone who, sadly, was desperate enough to eat them.

Fresh and Delicious - Edit
Probably the nicest meal we had in Santiago! We shared the mezze to start, the hummus was so flavourful and the salads tasted really fresh. It also came with warm pitta which was gorgeous. I had the filled pumpkin pasta after which was also really good.

Una carta riquísima. Todo es vegano. Pedimos unos falafel y unas quesadillas de entrantes y como platos, unos tallarines con verduras y salsa oscura de soja y un arroz con curry delicioso. Buena cantidad de comida y todo exquisito. Lo recomiendo.

Just arrived in Spain and so happy to find this vegan restaurant! Started with the sweet corn hummus and it was unique and tasty, ordered the Tex Mex bowl and it was delicious! Nice atmosphere and great service. I’m stuffed and already thinking of when I can eat here again! Highly recommend!

First time here and everything we tried was exceptional. The sweet corn hummus was unlike any other hummus I’ve ever had and so delicious. The nut burger was one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. Great booze selection. Excellent music and top notch service. Go here!

I just had an amazing meal there. Such a cute spot with a full menu of all kinds of wonderful options. I had the bombas de patatas stuffed with kimchi. Wow! Such a great combo of traditional and unusual to make the perfect dish. The Sorrentinos Rellenos (like ravioli) stuffed with squash and served with a delicious pesto with sun-dried tomatoes again, were stunning and delicious. Just perfect. And I love how dogs are part of the dining experience (not just allowed but welcomed) thank you for being a bright light here in this beautiful city and your support of the animals, humans, and planet.

Vegan restaurant with a friendly chief - Edit
We had struggled to find vegan restaurants that were open mid week in the city, but this one was very good and convenient from our hotel (San Francisco). The waitress arrived a little late but the chief stepped up and took our order and prepared our drinks. We had the spicy sweetcorn hummus with pitta bread to start and the Vietnamese Wok which included the Spanish plant-based meat substitute heura', served with peanuts and rice noodles which was delicious.

Finally nourished on the Camino! - Edit
We spent my 60th birthday at this darling restaurant after walking the Camino for 6 days and trying to navigate eating whole food plant based the best we could with the limited options everywhere we went. We finally found this restaurant and the food was so delicious and full of flavors and nourishing and gave us energy. We happened to run into some friends we had met on the Camino a few days prior who were also looking for healthy food. They had been back for a second visit to the restaurant since they liked it so much. I had a wonderful experience and a wonderful healthy birthday! Thank you!!! I highly recommend this for anyone no matter what your food preferences are. The food is amazing!
