Better than Pure Food & Wine in NY!

Fantastic. Everything was beautiful and delicious. I'm actually not a huge raw fan, and I ended up buying their gorgeous cookbook (it's in Danish, but it's actually pretty easy to figure out with a little help from google translate). Unlike a lot of raw food, found this filling (had a sandwich and dessert, my mum had soup and salad). Also, some complained of the price. I found it typical of Copenhagen and not atypical for new york prices (what I'm used to). Everything was extremely fresh and the staff was friendly and helpful too. Also tried their Stockholm location - also wonderful.

Pros: beautiful, delicious, you feel great after eating this

Cons: busy shopping area/crowded, small cafe gets loud, you'll want everything (not a con :p)

Only ok for the price

I had a good sandwich, it was tasty, but not that much, and also a bit small.

Tasty food, nice desserts

The food here is good and creative, though if you don't buy into the "raw" or "undercooked" approach to preparing food, you might feel too limited in options. We had sandwiches that were tasty, I had sublime hot chocolate sweetened with agave (there was a choice of what kind of "milk" and I think the almond milk is better - I returned a second time and did not specify almond milk and it was a teensy bit less amazing), and a dessert. My second time was just for cocoa and dessert. The apple "cake" (I don't remember what they called it) was excellent, as was the triple chocolate. Prices are steep, which is not surprising for Copenhagen. This is a casual restaurant, you order at the counter and they will bring the food to your seat. There are no water-service vegan or vegetarian restaurants in Copenhagen as far as I know.

Pros: tasty food, great desserts, convenient location

Cons: you might want more substantial food, you might wish for more formal dining, expensive

Expensive but worth it

This was one of the most expensive restaurants I've been to so far - although I guess it's pretty normal in this city considering Copenhagen prices. I enjoyed my visit very much and it was my favourite restaurant of the four I visited during this trip to Denmark, so I don't regret spending the money, but it still hurt a bit.

There is an English menu and the very friendly waitress explained it to me. I chose the avocado and chili sandwich and a broccoli salad. Both were totally delicious and very filling. I also had a smoothie which was very thick (I prefer them if they are more like a drink and not like a cream) and so I could hardly finish it. More like a dessert than a drink.
I also enjoyed the atmosphere, although I prefer seats with a back and think the benches just look cool, but are not very comfy. The music was a bit too loud, I could have relaxed a little better if it had been a little quieter.

The location is great, close to Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen's central square. This makes the restaurant perfect lunch break while you are out shopping or exploring central Copenhagen and Nyhavn.

Pros: Very friendly service, Delicious food, Perfect location

Cons: Very expensive, No comfy chairs, Music too loud

Very hipster, but good food

I visited on a busy (sunny!) Saturday lunchtime, my veggie friend very much enjoyed the lasagne and I loved the mixed salad with added hummous.

Beware the bottle water at £2.50 a bottle though!

Pros: English menu available, Location, Choice

Cons: Price, Itwasnt clear if everything was vegan

seriously, yum

When I travel, being a gluten free vegan, preparedness is a must. I brought 6 hungry boys, who are not vegans, werk me to 42raw. Each one was happier than the next with their Selection. This place is a MUST when in Copenhagen

Delicious food, friendly staff, nice vibe

My partner and I accidentally passed this place. We saw it on Happy Cow app before and decided to stop by. We wanted something cooked and saw that they had pizza.

Delicious pizza (not raw) tomatoes and pineapple and tomatoes and mushrooms with something that tasted cheesy. Nice vibe here. She used gloves to handel the food. Good music. But quite pricy, but if you can pay 100 dkk for 10 shots of alcohol then really the same for 2 slices of pizza can be done occasionally. Good presentation. Lots of raw options with some cooked food. It's not a restaurant, but a good place for a snack.Actually, the pizza were surprisingly filling. Maybe as it was wholewheat.

Lifesaver

My husband and I ate here the two days we were in Copenhagen and it was truly amazing!! After spending a week in Norway and not eating particularly well, this was just what we needed!! The food was so fresh, healthy and above all- tasty!! Took a while to get served but otherwise, can't complain at all. Highly recommended!!

Super yummy but expensive

It is a great, small place offering really yummy food options. However, not all the food they have is raw (??) as they offer small vegan pizzas slices, sandwiches, risotto, coffee, tea...
The food is really great (I tried risotto, sandwich and a raw lasagna), however, heavily over-priced...

Pros: Very tasty, creative food, Nice atmosphere, Good selection of juices and smoothies

Cons: Expensive!, Serves non-raw food, too

Excellent!

I was in Copenhagen for a couple of days, and I loved the food here so much I went there three times.

Whatever my (omnivore) boyfriend and I tried, lasagna, sandwich, noodles, cake, or a smoothie, everything was delicious and very satisfying.

For quality food like this the prices seemed absolutely reasonable to us.

Can't recommend 42 Dregrees Raw enough!

Pros: High quality food, Great taste, Nice staff

This is what raw should always be like

The menu is not big, but the food is mighty tasty. The tapas are the most expensive menu item, but they come with a sandwich, pad thai (spirilized veggies) and lasagna. Everything was perfect and delicious. I got there on a rainy day, so everyone was tightly packed inside with little elbow room. You share your take or take your food to go.

Good place to eat, but too busy over weekend!

We were very pleased to find this restaurant. The meal is just amazing - I had avocado sandvich and a smoothie, yummy. However, the place was just too small for the crowd that was there on Saturday at 2PM. The average waiting time was 30 minutes and we only found place at window "bar" to sit. Others just had to select take-away food. Also, I found the place a bit messy, but that was because of too many people.

Pros: Amazing food, Unexpected experience, In the center

Cons: Too crowded, Long waiting time, A bit messy

So good!

We had the tapas plate (lasagna, thai noodles, sandwich) and a pizza hawaii with salad and everything was amazing! Very fresh and tasty. It's located in hip and rather rich area of CPH and the interior was nice, although it was a little crowded.

Pros: Creative fresh dishes, Lovely Staff, Reasonable prices for raw food

Cons: Only one unisex toilet, Small and crowded

Pretty awesome!

Very good fresh, raw food. Limited seating, and the available seating rather uncomfortable... But designwise pretty cool. Rather good for takeout or a fast snack.

Pros: Excellent raw food

Cons: Limited seating.

Nice place, good food

40 Degrees Raw is a nice little place right in the city center of Copenhagen.

I've been here only once but I would love to come back. I went for a warm dish - a delicious risotto with organic brown rice, mushrooms and white truffle oil and a good fresh juice with beetroot, apple, cucumber and ginger. The raw chocolate cake I had for dessert was good, but not special.

Indeed the place is tiny but they did their best to make use of the space. There are some kind of wooden stairs with seats and tables along one of the walls (creating different levels) and some small high tables with barstools along the windows. Not very cozy, but nice at least for a quick bite. The staff was very friendly, too.

Pros: good food, friendly staff, location

Cons: small

Good for a break

I had the Paris juice - strawberry, orange, and ginger; and the coconut and ginger slice. Both were delicious! The staff member was really friendly and I liked the atmosphere. Price was reasonable for Denmark. There weren't many tables and chairs so I can't imagine sitting down for a meal there but it was perfect to stop and snack.

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff

Fantastic place!

Im mostly baking raw, but I was curious about the food as well and thought it would be a good idea to get some inspiration while I was visiting Copenhagen (we dont have that many raw places in Sweden). I love it! It was a bit pricy (about €16 for the tapas plate) but definitely worth it.

Pros: Great food, Good atmosphere

Cons: A little pricy

Delicious and amazing

A well-deserved 5 stars. This was some of the best vegan food we've had yet. We ordered the tapas plate and the mushroom risotto which were both amazing. The risotto was served warm with truffle oil, and the tapas plate had a selection of 3 different items (avocado 'sandwich', Thai noddles and lasagna).
The cafe is located in a very central part of Copenhagen - definitely don't miss it! They had a huge juice menu and delicious-looking dessert cabinet too.

Pros: Unique seating environment, Delicious food!, Great location

Slightly pretentious, but good selection of juices

I went here with my boyfriend whilst in Copenhagen. I was very excited to visit this cafe, as I had heard a lot about it. The menu had a good selection of juices, smoothies and snacks. There was something a bit pretentious about this place..also, there is a distinct lack of sitting. I don't think I would rush back in a hurry!

Pros: Good selection of juices, Varied menu

Cons: Lack of seating, Pretentious

raw food in the centre pedestrian town

This is a mostly raw food, so very suited for vegans. It also has some hot dish. Good looking cakes, and teas. Nice decorations and atmosphere. Friendly staff. I strongly recommend this, in that day when you planned to stroll through the small streets of the center of Copenhagen.

Pros: nice staff, good food, nice drinks

yes vegan is expensive to make

I read that people complain that it is expensive. But making vegan food require more time and effort than simply grilling a burger and putting tomato ketchup from a bottle. It is hard work and that we even have a vegan restaurant is some sort of miracle in the first place.

Pros: everything

Cons: too many people pretending to be healthy

raw delight

Very good food. Nice atmosphere. A little expensive but then again all food in Denmark seems expensive. We had two entrees, a juice, a smoothie and two cakes and it was 408DK which is about $70.00 Canadian.

Pros: variety , raw

delicious raw, healthy food

An English menu is posted. Everything is raw vegan. Juices, smoothies, muesli, raw yogurt, hummus, tapas plate, desserts. Coffees and teas available. Raw crackers, vanilla cookies (28 kr), energy balls (32 kr).
I had carrot-strawberry-ginger juice (48 kr) and the tapas plate (128 kr), which consisted of three items on a slate plate: avocado sandwich on raw crackers, lasagna (cashew cream, pesto, thinly sliced zucchini, sunflower seeds on top) and zucchini spaghetti with spicy, creamy sauce (cumin?), topped with green onion slices and black sesame seeds. All was delicious; the sauces scrumptious.
They also sell raw-food cookbooks. The restaurant is located just a block up from the shopping street. Three small tables, stools at the window and benches above the tables. Fast service.

Pros: vegan

Delicious and unusual

Sort of stylish snack bar serving a limited, but I thought uniformly excellent selection of vegan main courses and an amazing chocolate cake. Food is all raw but flavours are sophisticated and it is NOT just a salad bar. Vegan "lasagne" and pizza are not lasagne or pizza, and the better for it. Clever and different. Very clean, very central, not much seating but if tables are full you can sit further up the pyramid (you will see what I mean).

Pros: Really tasty, Unusual, Clean

Cons: Limited menu
