Small place but good food

Had a very good hummus toast & matcha (good quality too, as a matcha addict). Place was a lot smaller than expected so be prepared to queue, staff was a bit stressed but did their job & got the food very quickly

If you fancy a porridge

Their porridge is based on oat milk, which makes it a shame that only one of the options is offered with a vegan variation. Non the less it was delicious and perfectly balanced with the amount of fruit and sweetness! Very good coffee, nicely frothed oat milk.
It's a tiny place, but the queue goes quickly, sits in a lovely little courtyard.

Pros: Cute setting , Perfect oatmeal bowl, Quick turnover

Deliciously Sweet Vegan Porridge

26 Grains is a lovely little cafe in the heart of Neals Yard. The cafe itself is very small and can be quite cramped if you sit outside but there are few tables inside. I ordered the apricot porridge which could be made vegan and it was a really decent portion and was so tasty and filling. I was quite disappointed to see that they only had one vegan option though, online and in the past they had more vegan options on offer. They do have plenty of vegetarian options though. My mum had scrambled eggs with sourdough and she really enjoyed it. All of the food seemed good quality. I would say that the food, for what it is, is too expensive though. My porridge was £9.50 which I think is very overpriced, even though is was delicious. The staff were really friendly though and the overall experience was nice. I would return and I would recommend it but I just wish that they had more vegan options because currently, porridge is the only option.

Pros: Tasty and good quality food, Cute cafe, Nice location

Cons: Expensive, Only 1 vegan option, No toilets

good quality & minimal (maybe too minimal?)

I really wanted to visit this place!
26 grains is a veeeeery small restaurant located in the beautiful Neal’s Yard.
I went there to have breakfast but unfortunately they didn’t have any vegan cake or biscuits 🥲
I tried the rhubarb porridge which was very good matcha latte with oat milk.
Hope they’ll add more vegan options to their menu… 🤞🏼

Pros: Food quality, Plant-based drinks

Cons: Limited vegan options, Very small place

Avoid!!

Ordered a vegan porridge and they gave me a cows milk porridge!!
had already taken a spoonful when my mum double checkrd and the guy had made it with cows milk! He was also handling chicken and then making the porridges without washing his hands. Vile

Cons: Unhygenic, Gave me a non vegan meal

Finely executed lunch

One of the finest bread toast I ever got: Fresh ricotta, garlic chard, roasted hazelnut and black chili. The dish was greatly executed and the atmosphere around the restaurant in Neal's yard is simply amazing.
I definitively want to come back to try out the morning Brekkies.
Vegan option available

Pros: Fresh ingredients, Surrounding

Cons: Not everything vegan

Yum

Had Nordic porridge and matcha latte. Very nice and comforting food. Very trendy cute area as well, not many tables so be careful if you go to busy times.

Pros: Comforting hot food, Vegan options

Cons: Not a lot of tables if you’re going with a group

Great porridge

26 Grains is a great place for both veg and non-veg breakfast or brunch. Nordic Pear porridge with coconut yogurt was simply amazing. The iced coffee and matcha are also worth a try.

Pros: Good vegan options, Nice interior, great area/location, Best oatmeal I ever had

Cozy, lovely, welcoming

I'm a porridge fanatic so I was extremely excited for my Nordic Pear, and oh my, this was an artisan porridge goodness. Made with coconut milk and spices, topped with cacao crumble, coconut yogurt and toasted seeds, this was some of the nicest porridge I've ever had. My boyfriend was impressed too, he went for a month's special porridge and he said it was amazing as well. We both enjoyed our time at 26 Grains, the service was very very sweet, we were served by the owner herself and everything was just so cozy, homey and beautiful. I'm definitely going back next time I'm in London and you should too!

Pros: amazing flavours, worth the price, amazing environment

Great breakfast and lunch spot in beautiful Neal's Yard

Quick, easy, delicious and beautiful oatmeal for breakfast or lunch. Because the oats are soaked in non-dairy milk before cooking, the bowls are always very creamy and satisfying. This is a go-to spot for a filling and warming meal.

Pros: Organic

Cons: Not vegetarian/vegan
