29/18-21 Soi Sunvichai (Soi 8), Rama 9 Road, Bangkapi, Huaykwang, Bangkok, Thailand
We had dinner with family yesterday. Arrived a bit late (21:00) but not a problem at all. Restaurant had only one other table occupied. Food was swift, as the order in wich it appeared was not the best (spicy food first).

Family lunch buffet
We gathered the family (non vegetarians) at Khun Churn for a cheap buffet and it was more than a surprise. All you can eat for one price during 3 hours and all vegetarian!
Gave us time enought to try all those dishes and scoop again while having a good time with the family. Owner speaks proficient English and is more than willing to explain her food.
A visit to do again, even though you need to travel some.
Bangkok Mediplex, Sukhumvit Soi 42, Bangkok, Thailand
Expensive and roomy
We had dinner in this restaurant. We were the only ones.
Ambiance is indeed very good, but to be the only guests and leaving some 40 seats empty feels strange.
Food itself is quite upmarket. Display is very good, size of the portion rather small. Taste also very nice and sometimes even surprising.
Total experience not at all bad, however the price does not make up for the experience.
33 Samsen Road, Soi 1, Banglamphu, Bangkok, Thailand
My (Thai) friends and myself made an appointment here to have dinner. As I have read in another review, it is indeed a bit hard to find, especially as they are renovating the front building. So now you have to find the alley that connects to the temporary dining location.
Indeed you write down your order yourself. This is not unusual in Thai restaurants.
Food was excellent. The owner even performed some Thai dances during our meal.

Lunch and dinner
We were lucky to stumble on this restaurant and had lunch at first. By the way: it sounds like it is a cafe, but we are most certain you can have a decent meal as well, just as we did.
Food was prompt, nicely proporsioned en cheap! Staff was helpfull, even though English is not their forte.
We decided to have dinner there another day, as we noticed another vegetarian restaurant across the dirt road.

Second year visit
We have visited this restaurant (a bit diner style) in 2007 and were a bit surprised that the location (behind Golden Palace) coukd attract customers. Food is fast and surprisingly good and low priced.
This year, right from the airport, we went again and it was still there. Menu seems unchanged and the food quality still perfect. They have my favourite dish: Sum Tam (spicy papaya salad), but they donot serve sticky rice.
Prices are still low, especially compared to the vegetarian cottage, wich is part of the same chain.
