A wedge of coiled and braided jute forms the sole and runs deep around the edge. It is stitched to the canvas upper in the traditional Spanish method, with a thin TR outsole bonded underneath for grip on pavement. The taller rope wall lifts the shoe slightly and gives it more presence from the side. There is no shank, so the build stays soft and flexible and moves with your feet. The canvas is soft and closely woven. In black it is the sharper option: dark canvas against pale rope, with the ribbon at the heel doing the talking. Inside, a built-in cushioned footbed topped with soft vegan leather sits between your foot and the jute.
