## Espadrille Sandals in Dusty Pink A classic closed slip-on espadrille with a V at the centre of the vamp. The sides drop low along the foot, so it slides on without a fastening and stays put once it's there. Expertly crafted in a family-run factory in Spain using traditional espadrille construction. A wedge of coiled and braided jute rope forms the sole, stitched directly to the canvas upper, with a thin TR outsole bonded underneath for grip on pavement. The rope is left visible all the way round, pale, fibrous and plainly handmade, contrasting with the flat weave of the canvas above it. There's no shank, so the build stays soft and flexible and moves with your foot from the first wear. The canvas upper is soft, light and closely woven. Dusty pink is chalky and sun-faded, sitting close in tone to the jute so the whole shoe reads warm. Inside, a built-in cushioned footbed topped with soft vegan leather puts padding between your foot and the rope. The shoe is unlined, so the canvas sits straight against the skin. The breathable design means you can wear them with or without socks. Wear them with everything summer asks for: cropped or straight denim, dungarees, a dress, trousers, or a tee and shorts. Keep the jute sole as dry as you can and do not soak them, as heavy wetting can loosen the jute. Stuff with paper to hold their shape while drying, and store somewhere cool and dry between wears.
