Vegan cream cheese and lox - Edit
Most bagel shops in NYC offer great, fresh bagels and vegan cream cheese, and perhaps also something like avocado toast. This branch of this small bagel chain also offers vegan cream cheese and (carrot) lox. I tried one today, and it was pretty good.
Read moreAs another reviewer noted, you need to be vigilant when ordering your food. They added a free side cole slaw (in a small separate container) to my order today; when I asked, they admitted that the cole slaw used mayonnaise (made from eggs).

Fine bagels - Edit
Excellent bagels 🥯 They do not know what vegan is, label nothing, not even in pre-packed food (brownies: ingredients unknown), do not care ("we have fish, if you want") and *absolutely* want to put cow milk in your coffee, no matter what. still, a relaxed and friedly place, 12 seats outside, same inside. Just go for a tofu spread ("schmier") bagel & all is good.

They have wheat sesame! - Edit
This is not the highest rated bagel place in NY and they don’t have all the flavors of vegan shmear imaginable but they have a wheat sesame so I had to come here. I asked if their wheat could contains honey and it doesn’t. Got it untoasted with tofu scallion. So good!
