Serves meat, vegan options available. Basement cafeteria in Riga's Old Town. Labels vegan (vn) on the menu with daily changing dishes, includes soups and simple main dishes. Menu is published on its facebook usually a little before midday (in Latvian). Closed June 2018.

Cheap as peas

Local worker's canteen style food with a couple of vegan main dishes, in our case chickpeas and vegetables, served with rice and salad (you could choose accompaniments). Very cheap at under €3.50 each at time of visit. No frills, but a quick nutritious lunch perfect enroute to the station. Water and bread included. Also the name on the sign is Pusdienotāju klubs.

Pros: Cheap and quick, Marked vegan options, Healthy

Cons: Not exactly haute cuisine, Warm underground room

Local canteen style with delicious food

Canteen style resto that is used by locals during lunchbreak. All written in Latvian (labelled vegan) but staff was friendly and provided translation. I had 2 choices of salad with a warm bean dish. They use basic ingredients and taste was super good. I had a giant plate and payed 4 EUR. Good value for money

Pros: Affordable, tasty, local
