Classic Thai shop house eatery - Edit
Cheap and cheerful roadside eatery, where you pick from the pre-made dishes served with rice. It was closed when we went on a Monday afternoon, but as others have mentioned there are more about 750m further down the road towards the railway station.

Very delicious food - Edit
I was blown away by the quality of the food at this place. I came in on a Wednesday around 3 pm, they still had a lot of food. As soon as she saw me the lady was pointing at a few dishes and said ‘not spicy’. I took it as a sign that some other stuff might be too spicy. I pointed to one cabbage looking dish and one beef chunks looking dish. I got a big, big plate full of rice and those two toppings. It was so big that the only reason I could finish it is because I didn’t really eat anything yet that day. Portion size is huge, and it cost only 40k! Insane. They also sell some packaged goods and I bought a bread for 10k.
Read moreThere are three vegan restaurant on the same part of the street, you will see it when you go there, but all of the locations on HC are wrong (you can find them on google so I would recommend that). I will ask HC to update but it will probably take months. This is the most Northern one.

Lovely food! - Edit
The happy cow map took us a bit further down the road but entering the name into Google maps took us straight there.
Read moreA small restaurant at the side of a main road, we actually missed it and walked by the first time.
If you look closely you can see a small sign written in English.
Food was delicious, would highly recommend the miso soya balls (tasted like savoury sausages!) And the mock fish with soya and nori sheets was beautiful... 2 full boxes and some battered nori sheets for just 110 THB!
The lovely lady behind counter did understand some English and let me know what was spicy and not spicy. We got our food to takeaway in 2 cardboard boxes.
Pros: Cheap,friendly,English spoken,good choice
Cons: Easy to miss and walk by.
