Not good vegan restaurant! - Edit
My family and I stopped here on a road trip for lunch. With the 5 star reviews, we figured it was good. I would give this 1 star if I could- only because it’s vegan. This is literally the worse vegan food experience we have ever had, and we have had ALOT. We have been vegan for 10 years, have traveled almost the entire country (plus several other countries) eaten in hundreds of vegan restaurants, so we have had many experiences. First of all, no bathrooms, no seating. That we could overlook if it wasn’t for the rude staff, the filthy inside of the restaurant, and the tasteless food. My son actually couldn’t eat his Philly cheesesteak because it was so bad he threw it away. My husband had the Cuban and there was nothing Cuban about it- tasted like cheap bread with fake meat with no flavor. The Crunchwrap was the best thing, but that isn’t saying much, it was still just ok. I would never eat here again, nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone. I can’t believe this place is even open, more or less getting 5 star reviews?? I have never written a review on a restaurant, good or bad, but I could not ignore this place. This review isn’t to be rude to the business, it is to be helpful to the vegan community and hopefully the owners take the criticism and make some changes!!!

Worst vegan restaurant ever - Edit
I would rate this a 0 if I could because it tasted so bad. The restaurant was completely filthy with dead plants and stuff all on the floor. The customer service was absolutely terrible and the people behind the desk where very rude. I got the Philly cheese steak and it tasted like cheese whiz and cold meat. The fries where clearly from a frozen bag and had no flavor or anything. The other things my family got wasn’t good, with soggy bread and no flavor. The Instagram posts are from a long time ago, because there is no seating indoors and in the pictures the place actually looks pleasing. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Amazing! - Edit
After a day of white-water rafting, my family and I stopped by Your Local Vegan Seitanist to finally give it a try, and it was worth it! They had several options that sounded tasty, and everyone loved the Impossible cheeseburgers, so much so that they would have been scary had they not come from a vegan restaurant. Instead of a burger I had a "No Clucks About It" chick'n sammich, which was amazing! It was pretty spicy but I loved the flavor and would definitely recommend trying it! Then for dessert we got a few oat cookie cream sandwiches and twinkies, both of which were really good!

disappointing - Edit
I wanted to give this place one star. First off the only good thing we tried was the chicken sandwich, which was amazing. They said they were out of any sauces to put on the chicken sandwich but had sauces for other things (?) so we had to get the plain one, which was amazing. We also ordered the potato griller which was soggy microwaved crinkle cut fries and floppy unflavored seitan in a tortilla. So bland and flavorless. The service was unfriendly and there was no dining inside with nowhere to sit outside. If the food had been better I would overlook all of this but it just feels like a fail in every category. Everyone else seems to really enjoy YLS which is why I’m hoping we just went on a bad day and may try again to see if it’s any better.

We got the chicken sammy, fatty stacks, and six desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious! We drove 1.5 hours just to eat here and it was completely worth it. We’ll be back for sure!

I love this restaurant!!!❤️🙏🏻☮️🌎 - Edit
The food is amazing! This is one of the best restaurants anywhere, but the fact that everything is vegan makes it a dream come true! And, not only is this restaurant vegan and amazing, chef and owner, Linley Danielle, told a vegan focused publication, VegNews, that she created the pantry to supply snacks and meals for children of low-income families while schools are closed during the COVID-19 quarantine—knowing that many parents would be facing layoffs during this period.” She cares about community, the animals and the planet. Thank you, Linley!!! 🥰

A must try for Chattanooga! - Edit
I was so happy to finally try this place, been following their IG for a while! The chicken sandwiches and buffalo wings were amazing. Texture on point, buffalo sauce was deliciously spicy and the desserts are wonderful and fresh! If you’re in Chattanooga, this is a must stop!

Perfect vegan food - Edit
We’ve eaten here twice so far. Every item my partner and I have got from here was 10/10. Most recently we picked up brunch and got a 3 “meat” omelette and a moon over my hammy sandwich. We also got a brownie cheesecake and oat milk latte(big brunch). Everything tasted amazing and we wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often. But it’s such a nice treat when we come to Chattanooga 😁

We need seitanist in Atlanta - Edit
Tried going here during TN vegan festival last year and they’d closed by the time we got there. Amazing to see a vegan restaurant survive the adversities they have and keep inventing new ideas. Very impressed with the food and desserts and glad I could make the trip. If only they’d mail me that nutter butter cake 😍.

Well made and flavorful comfort food - Edit
All vegan comfort food, well made and moderately priced. Little piece of rebellion snuck within an otherwise ordinary town. I had the "chicken" burger which was delicious and incredibly flavorful as well as their oreo brownie and chocolate peanut butter cake, which were both good. Fries were also very good. Staff was very pleasant as well. Highly recommend, support vegan businesses!

Crispy crispy! - Edit
I had the chickn bacon ranch sandwich. The patty was thin with a thick crispy breading, the fries were amazing! Husband enjoyed his chophouse burger too. Atmosphere is very casual. Would be back as a treat if we only lived closer.

I wish I could go every day - Edit
What a restaurant. As soon as I walked into the door and was greeted by the kind staff and warm smell of comfort food I knew that Your Local Seitanist was going to be a special place. My Buffalo wings and parm truffle fries were both absolutely incredible and definitely hit the greasy comfort food spot that I don’t often feel. Plus, the way they have their menu set up makes me wish I lived closer than a 2 hour drive. I’ll definitely return if I’m in the area again.

Delicious Food, Cozy Interior, Friendly Service - Edit
First time visiting Chattanooga and I stumbled upon this place. SO YUMMY! I dined in for brunch on a Saturday and the place had such fall, cozy and spooky vibes, so much fun! I got the pumpkin waffle plate which came with spinach, tofu and potatoes and my boyfriend got the chicken and waffles. The waffles were a little dry for my liking but everything was delicious and service was super friendly! Absolutely recommend.

Chef's kiss delicious - Edit
Today, I got the charcuterie board, burnt ends and double chocolate cake with rainbow sprinkles. It was my "treat yo self" day. We had the burnt ends for lunch. They were delicious, of course they were. The BBQ sauce on the burnt ends was thick and flavorful. Later, I had portions of the charcuterie board. Because, I basically have groceries for the week in that box. I love creamy hummus. This hummus was exactly like I love it. But the new twist on the old favorite was pimiento on top. When I mixed it with the hummus, it tasted like the pimiento cheese I used to eat in sandwiches. The texture was just smoother. I didn't mind that at all. One of the cheeses was like a harder version of mozzarella. It was like mozzarella got an upgrade. There was another cheese in the box that tasted like a smokey bacon cheddar. The portions for the cheeses were large. There were pita bread triangles and 2 types of crackers. Plenty of crackers. Blueberries, strawberries, my favorite olives, grape tomatoes, agave sauce, and an olive oil sauce. There was jerky, bacon type slices and deli slices. All chef's kiss delicious. The double chocolate cake was so rich I could only eat a few bites. It was gorgeous with the rainbow sprinkles. It was also a large portion. It isn't anything I could eat in one sitting.

Our favorite spot! Absolutely delicious food from a varying menu with a wonderful staff. They also do pop-ups with various foods. So far we’ve gotten biscuits and gravy with sausage and potatoes, chicken n waffles, a spicy honey biscuit, a McFib jackfruit “mcrib” patty with slaw, pickles, bbq sauce and a side of tots, and from a pop-up we’ve gotten quesadillas and pambazos.
