Really really yummy tofu ice cream

Perfect for Vegans missing soft serve experience! But they run out early!

Could be sweeter or would be nice in matcha or more of a vanilla flavor. But same texture as regular soft serve. Love tofu. So this flavor works for me. Don’t expect American overly sweet milky flavor.
Cone or cup options.
Tables and benches for sitting inside. Free water station. Can’t use your own bottles.
No bathroom. Right by shrine. Super convenient vegan snack in tourist spot. I really liked it. Would buy it again if I was in area.

Came back for round 2. Traveled very far by train. They close at 6PM. Arrived around 5:35PM. They said they had sold out of Tofu Soft Serve by 5PM.

I recommend only going between 12PM to 4PM and calling ahead. They open at 10AM, but they said the Tofu Ice Cream isn’t ready until noon. And they said they are already going to be SOLD OUT the next two days. So, apparently it’s only available in limited quantities.
Call ahead?

They only have that one vegan flavor of ice cream. If you do get here and it’s sold out. Find NAMAFU in nearby alley. They have 2 flavors without milk: Hokkaido Melon and Mango soft serve that is vegan. But not as tasty, more expensive, and smaller serving. But it will work if you’re craving vegan ice cream dessert. Sigh.

Tasty tofu soft-serve icecream

The icecream was yummy! Yes, it tastes like tofu, because it’s literally tofu soft serve. If you don’t like tofu, don’t order it.

Only worth it to sit and cool down

Nice spot but the ice cream is … unique tasting.

Kind of took the worst part of tofu (the base flavour) and added sugar. No flavouring options or variety either when I’m sure they could easily add some vegan syrups or jam.

Pros: Clearly labeled vegan item

Cons: Flavour , Variety, Cramped

Welcome option

It was nice to be able to have a refreshing soft serve ice cream on a warm day. Has a fairly noticeable tofu flavour, but nice, and not too sweet.

Pros: Fast service, Credit card accepted

Cons: Suica not accepted
