Great food

Their vegan meals are amazing, I wish there were more vegan dessert options though.

First Visit of 2021

I have been to Yo! Sushi before the pandemic and they used to do yakisoba noodles but they don’t have these on the menu in Glasgow anymore which I was sad about. However, they have a vegan menu now!! This was very exciting. I actually ate some things before I took a picture - got too excited. I tried the yasai roll (would give 8/10), Inari Taco (9/10) and Pumpkin Katsu Curry (10/10). I also got the Yo! fries which were not vegan before, so were super excited to try these (9/10). I had never tried pumpkin before so was a little hesitant about getting the pumpkin katsu curry, however, it was one of the best katsu curry’s i have tried.

For social-distancing, you order via your phone and it is delivered on the belt which I think is a fantastic idea! Not able to grab anything off the belt, they use a traffic light system so you know when your dishes will be delivered. An experience itself!

Would highly recommend a visit to Yo! Sushi soon! Definitely returning :)

Gave 4/5 stars because if there was yakisoba noodles (and was fully vegan) it would be 5/5!

Average yo sushi

You don't go to yo sushi for a cheap meal but you get what you expect from a fast food place. Sushi is generally nice but precooked food can be inconsistent and occasionally poor.

Pros: Plenty of options , Vegan sushi

Cons: Inconsistent

Overpriced garbage

At the prices specified on the menu I had to assume that the dishes would be roughly double the size that they turned out to be. Upon eating the food, there were several stages of varying degrees of grief to be experienced. No need to explore these already all-too cliche tropes but damn, you are better off elsewhere.

Pros: They serve sake.

Pretty bland

The vegan menu is OK but they only have one speciality roll and its a bit stingy with the Tofu. They say its 9 rolls but it's only because they cut it so thinly.

Cons: Not worth the visit

Average

I usually love Yo sushi, however tonight I found the food badly cooked and the service slow. It was a typical Yo setting, maybe it was an off night they were having. Would like to see the service worked on a little more especially in this franchise.

Pros: Lots of vegan choice

Cons: Slow service
