Only had a coffee - Edit
Can't comment on the food as we just popped by for a hot drink. However we did notice on the large menu that there are two vegan meals.
Read moreThere's a Vegan Chicken Burger (clearly states that the vegan chicken burger doesn't come with chips unlike all the other burgers). Also, Vegan Chicken Tacos (two soft tacos).
No other vegan options on any of the other dishes. No kids vegan meals.
Coffee was ok, not the best, a bit bitter. Sadly no vegan cakes or treats but they did have some dairy free frozen lollies.
Loud music was pumping out of the speakers so a take out cup would be a better option, or sit at one of the tables at the front of the inn if you'd rather enjoy the sound of the wildlife.

Pretty disappointed - Edit
The vegan options they have on the menu are pretty lackluster. Service wasn't the best, the chips aren't vegan because they have milk in the batter supposedly? But really, there aren't many began options and the ones they have, such as the burger, are all disappointing.

Don't recommend - Edit
I was glad to see a few vegan options labelled on the menu but was disappointed in the end. The vegan burger comes with salad while all the regular burgers come with chips. I queried this and they confirmed the (frozen) chips are cooked in the same oil as meat. Even if someone wasn't fussed about that, they'd charge more to swap the salad for chips, just because 'that's the rule'.
Read moreI ended up ordering the sweet potato and lentil salad which was just a pile of rocket and sweet potato with tinned lentils emptied on top. No flavour to it whatsoever.
The member of staff at the counter was rude and grumpy. We ordered drinks from a separate bar and were charged for a pint while ordering and being served a middy. We thought it was just ridiculously expensive but the guy did realise his mistake and came after us to tell us to go back for another drink when we were ready.
The setting is obviously lovely and there were plenty of birds to watch and listen to as we ate, although unfortunately there was a live music act playing in the outdoor area which drowned out the birds.
Next time I'll take a picnic instead.
