Alhamdulillah, a lovely experience

The meal began with some nice complimentary olives. Very fresh, soft, nice khobz bread. Chickpeas were seasoned well, and the green beans were a stand out - nicely charred and beautifully seasoned. The harira soup was hearty and comforting. The fava bean was also well seasoned and flavourful, and the lentils were rich and satisfying.

The restaurant itself is lovely and calm, a nice break from the bustling streets outside. The decor is very nice, traditional with a modern feel, and all looked very clean.

Although very friendly, the service wasn’t very present; I had to go to the bar and ask for extra drinks and dessert.

However, the chocolate Bahja cake was a treat to end on, reminiscent of a British primary school chocolate marble cake, in the best, most nostalgic way.

All round, a very nice experience.

Fully vegan and fun stories

Beautiful place and love the story element- thank you Dawn. We had the 5 plate deal - would recommend the aubergines and the red pepper and walnut dip. The cake was a little try, but overall pretty nice experience.

World Storytelling Cafe

Great to find a vegan spot in Marrakech. The café is set over several floors and has a cosy, homely atmosphere. The menu is mostly tapas-style, with a few larger main dish options, and is very good value.

Unfortunately, some tapas dishes weren’t available when I visited, so the choice felt a bit limited. The menu overall isn’t particularly inventive, and I was left feeling slightly underwhelmed.

I ordered the crispy potatoes, lentil stew, and houmous, which came with a generous portion of bread, along with a mint tea. Nothing really wowed, the houmous in particular was a bit unusual — warm and quite chunky, which wasn’t really to my taste.

Worth knowing that it’s cash only here.

Overall, good to have a vegan option in Marrakech, but the food didn’t excite me.

Lovely cafe and lovely food

The cafe was so lovely! The tapas were great however they didn’t have two of the items we wanted. We got 5 tapas and 1 main meal to share between two and it was more than enough. We had the pasta as the main and it was fine, just tomato pasta. It was nice to feel relaxed about ordering anything on the menu. We wanted to get some dessert but unfortunately we were waiting for ages for someone and in the end just went and paid. Overall it was a lovely and calm cafe (with the mopeds being left outside lol) with nice food.

Great location

We had several dishes (like tapas) and the food was ok but nothing special. Still, it's refreshing to find a place in Marrakech that is fully vegan. Prices are good and the location is at the very popular area which is great. The interior is all lovely and peaceful escape from the vibrant streets:)

Pros: Good location , Lovely interior , They also served cake of the day

Tasty, affordable and filling

serves great food at very affordable prices, with generous portion sizes. The falafel was amazing -crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside, and easily one of the best I’ve had.

Beyond the food, the cafe has a lovely purpose, aiming to keep the traditional art of storytelling alive, which adds a unique and thoughtful touch to the experience.

Vegan tapas

Lots of options and great that everything is vegan. The food was very cheap and there was a great deal for 3 small plates for 50DH. The food was good but not super flavourful. I enjoyed the olives, hummus, and potatoes. The food came with bread included. We also got some tea which was very nice.

Wonderful restaurant serving delicious food!

I came here twice during my trip to Marrakech and would definitely go back. A lovely restaurant serving a huge range of dishes at a great price. I tried several of the tapas dishes such as the zaalouk, falafel, hummus, green beans, avocado, olives, and herby diced potatoes among other things. All absolutely delicious! I also tried the stuffed pepper and the ebly, which were also great, particularly the ebly, which carried so much flavour.

the food is fine

Tapas are a good deal, mains are overpriced for what you get. The bissara was incredibly bland, zaalouk, loubia and muhammara were decent.
Grateful this place exists though given how hard it is finding vegan food in Morocco.

Woweeeee

Hands down best meal we had in Marrakech. This is such a magical place and we had so much food for £10. Wish we’d gone earlier in our trip so we could’ve gone back again!

Great dishes with a sub-par atmosphere

You can order small Moroccan tapas dishes here. I feel that 50 dirham for three dishes is quite cheap and the food tasted great. We had falafel, fafa beans and a sort of sweet mashed pumpkin-carrot dish. All very tasty and filling as well. The atmosphere isn't that great, not a lot of light upstairs and also no music.

Flat storyline

First meal on arrival was here. We were the only ones in and service was slow!
Ordered some tapas all arrived cold including the bread. my friend's pasta had no flavour.
The Chocolate cake was akin to a "microwave in a mug"
venue was cold and lacked any vibe.

Disappointed as I much prefer to support local vegan venues.

Cute place with lots of vegan options

I had the 3 tapas for $50. I ordered the red pepper, pumpkin and eggplant. It came with a few pieces of bread. Nice flavors in all 3.

Lovely Tapas

We ate here on our first day in Marrakech as it’s the only fully vegan place open at the moment here.
The tapas was superb.
The second time to ate the full meal dishes which were nice enough but nothing special and a little overpriced for what you got.
I would stick to the tapas dishes.
Lovely vibe and it supports the art of storytelling so definitely worth a visit.

Pros: Atmosphere, Tapas

Cons: Main dishes weren’t as good as tapas

Tasty and fairly priced

Took us forever to find but glad we finally did. Four floors of seating. Seating is a bit ramshackle but plenty to choose from. Mostly tapas which we really enjoyed. 50 dirham for three plates or 20 dirham per plate. We had the falafel, hummus, avocado, lentils, and potato wedges and bread is also included. Recommend.

Pros: Good food, Good prices, Nice staff

Cons: Hard to find, but everything in Medina is hard to

Great for Moroccan tapas!

This place doesn’t look like much but the food is very tasty. The tapas style lends itself best to sharing (3-4) dishes each I would say.

Our standouts were lentils, aubergine, falafel

An oasis of good food

We had the 3 dishes for 50 Mad option, lentils, stewed beans and bassira. Each dish was tasty, I especially liked the stewed beans, it all came with bread. It’s the only vegan restaurant in all of Marrakech and the only one I trusted for safe
food. Nice staff and clean bathroom also.

Simple but delicious

Oasis of great vegan food in the craziness of Marrakech Medina. We ordered the 3 tapas for 50 MAD and all 3 were delicious. We hade the stewed beans, lentils and bissara. The bread was also very fresh and tasty. We ordered one juice, minty lemon, and that was really refreshing. Great vibes, friendly staff and inexpensive. Plus good WiFi and clean bathroom. Thank you staff 🙏🏻

Pros: Friendly staff , Prices, Freshness of food

Vegano Top
