I'm the type of weirdo who will go to 3 different stores to get the best deals and selections but if I find myself with a short shopping list, Woodman's is the one place I'll hit. They're selection of vegan items are great, though can be a bit hard to find as they're kind of spread throughout the store. Some items are in vegan sections while others are with their non vegan counterpart. Luckily, you can view their stock on their website so you can check to make sure they have whatever it is your looking for. Beyond that, their produce is good but not the best (I prefer Valli for a the wider selection of veggies) but price wise, Woodman's beats out everyone else.
This is our “go to” grocery store. They have more organic options than any other large scale grocery in the area. Correct that they do not take credit cards but that is not really a problem for most shoppers.
I was in Rockford on business. In Happy Cow it states they take credit. I found plenty of vegan options, even a few things I had not seen before. I shopped for about an hour, only to find at checkout that they don’t accept credit cards. Cash, Check or Debit only. Very disappointed. Walked out with nothing, as my my business card is a credit card.
