Vegan cream tea!!! - Edit
Cute cafe in a cute village just outside Barnstaple. There was loads I wanted in the menu and in the end I got a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows which came with a little shortbread biscuit, soup which came with a cheese scone, and cream tea! Luxury! And my dog was given a homemade biscuit as well. So glad I stopped here.

A warm reception on arrival, cosy atmosphere, extensive menu a specials board with tasty treats and seasonal goodies. On my latest visit I had roast stuffed pumpkin followed by fluffy pancakes with facon and maple syrup. Absolutely delicious 💯 recommended.

Amazing vegan cafe close to Barnstaple. Friendly owners and staff create excellent vegan and gluten free food for all occasions. The Christmas dinners are legendary! My mother's day high tea was such a treat. Everything they do is fresh and tasty. Not to be missed if you're in the area!

Stopped on the way home from a holiday in Devon. Unbelievable Cream tea. So tempted by the rest of the menu that we got sandwiches to take away which were also incredible. Wish we were closer so that we could come every weekend. Service was so lovely and we were even a homemade dog treat.

Go out of your way for a visit here - Edit
Wow, what a find!
Read moreWe were visiting from the east of England and headed Barnstaple way as we thought we’d find something more appropriate for our plant-based bellies and was so grateful to find this place.
Easy to find and parking right out front is always a great start. The place looks cozy and welcoming and there’s plenty of seating. A warm welcome from the owner and we sat to peruse the menu and WHAT A MENU! There’s something for everyone, From plant-based junk food to wholesome whole foods they have it covered and everything in between.
Great choice of drinks too and we liked that the drinks were clearly well thought out, no big brands and all healthier more natural versions of the drinks we know and love.
Plenty of things to do while you wait for the food, we (family of 4) played scrabble but there’s also books to read through.
Businesses like this are hard to find, good quality food made by people that love making it with a strong sense of customer service, even if you’re not close you should consider going out your way for this little gem.
Hoping to return before we leave the area.
Pros: Massive comprehensive menu , Nice well thought out drinks , Outstanding customer service
Cons: Based too far from my house to become a regular

The cream tea at Willows almost brought tears to my eyes! Yes, the scones are THAT good.

Try the spicy nachos! Yum. And the caesar salad, an absolute classic.
The owners are wonderful and the staff incredibly friendly. It's a very laid back environment, perfect to chill. Don't be in a rush. Savour this fully venue gem and tell your friends.
Pros: Fully vegan menu, Cream tea!!!, Friendly staff
Cons: Busy (but that's to be expected, it's that good)

Excellent quality vegan food! - Edit
Stopped in here twice during my visit to my mum & hometown. I had the chili nachos then the VE burger, both were cooked to vegan perfection. Partner had the breakfast and a salad which was outstanding. Also had brownies which were delicious. So happy to find a fully vegan place in and around Barnstaple. Spread the word!! Owner is lovely too.

The menu is extensive. We are going home via breakfast at the willow tea room, just so we can try something else.
Read moreToday we had the avocado on toast. I had extra mushrooms. Every hot drink came with a delicious lemon shortbread, which was to die for.
We followed that with the vegan cream tea. We shared a strawberry and black cheery jam. Out of this world.
The tea room itself is quality. Loved the decor. Everything was clean. The owner and staff were jolly and kind.
I highly recommend paying a visit if you're in the area.

This place!
Read moreFrom comfort food to healthy options and in a modern but traditional tea room setting.
They've done so well with the place and being in an area on its own, in an area (probably) full of farming folk.
A must visit.
Note; the position of Willow's is wrong on the map, when i visited, so had to drive up and down the main road a couple of times before spotting it but so glad i did, and there's a public car park just a few yards away too.
Pros: Numerous delicious options, Freshly baked goodies, Space

We will definitely be back when we pass through again! Thank you guys for being awesome!

Absolutely amazing! - Edit
We visited this tea room twice over our break in Devon, once with a party of 7, then with a group of 5. We came back because we couldn’t eat everything on the menu in one visit!! The first time we all had lunch - nachos and chilli, jacket potatoes, burgers, superfood salad. It was all really delicious. The kids had all-day breakfasts and scoffed the lot (and our kids are fussy).
Read moreOur second visit was for High Tea, and THAT was something special. I had no words - it was incredible! So rare to find a vegan afternoon/high tea and it delivered in every way.
Highly recommend to vegans and non-vegans alike!

A little gem - Edit
We have been trying to get here for a while, we live in Exeter and normally end up in North Devon on a Sunday!
Read moreIt was well worth the wait though!
The extensive menu was fantastic, we love going anywhere 100% vegan so we can choose anything and there really was lots to choose from.
They accommodated a 1/2 sweet and 1/2 savoury cream tea which technically wasn’t on the menu but they were so happy to help! My husband had the chilli in a jacket and stepson had the breakfast muffin and we were all super impressed and enjoyed the food.
Would highly recommend to vegans and meat eaters alike, we couldn’t fault the service or the cafe, it was really friendly and really clean.
Only teeny negative was that they were out of my husbands original order or coronation jacket.. but there was plenty of other choices.
Pros: Full vegan menu with loads of choice, Super friendly service, Really clean and well organised
Cons: The one thing my husband wanted had sold out
