Must visit this amazing sanctuary - Edit
Willows animal sanctuary is such a special place. It is only open Saturdays from April til October (I think - double check their website) but it’s well worth a visit.
Read moreBesides the beautiful rescued animals, there is a vegan food shop at the sanctuary selling frozen goods such as pizzas, also cheeses, snacks and sandwiches. It was the best vegan BLT I’d ever had !
There is also another part of the shop that sells more gifty items such as soaps, bath bombs, socks, candles etc. of course all the profits go to the sanctuary.
Highly recommend a visit to the shop (when it’s open) and of course to the sanctuary to see the beautiful animals and all the hard work this sanctuary does for them.
Pros: Lots of vegan items , Animal sanctuary
Cons: Only open Saturdays

Must visit when in the North East. - Edit
A lovely sanctuary doing important work. Cat lovers dream, lots of furry friends slinking around. Horses, donkeys, goats and more all call this Sanctuary home. Only open on Saturdays, so don’t miss this place on your next visit to the North East. Cosy vegan cafe with delicious food on site.

Vegan Shop at Willows Animal Sanctuary - Edit
I went on a trip to Willow Animal Sanctuary, and discovered this amazing gift shop. Not only is the Sanctuary itself an amazing place to visit, this shop was a wonderful and unexpected surprise!
Read moreThe gift shop sells loads of vegan goodies. They do lots of snacks such as dairy free chocolate and biscuits, teas, jams, sauces, organic pasta, beans and pulses, and some natural toiletries too, such as shampoo and soaps. Most, if not all of the food they sold in the shop appeared to be vegan. The shop assistant even said something like, 'it would make no sense for us to be caring for some animals while we sell products made from others.' It is great to see they believe in the ethics of veganism.
This is a truly amazing place, and I highly recommend everyone to give this place a visit and give it the support it really deserves.
Pros: Great Vegan Food in Gift Shop, Cares For Their Animals Well, Friendly Staff
Cons: None
