Vegan deli, delicious - Edit
We stopped here to grab some food on our way back from the beach. It was so fun to find an all vegan deli! They had a ton of options- several different types sandwiches, soups, drinks, and baked goods. I tried the BLT and baked savory pie- both were very good!! Definitely worth stopping by if you need a quick lunch to go!

Must go! - Edit
We went right at open (10am) and it was grab and go items only. We got hand pies that were literally hot out of the oven and they were perfect! A little expensive but totally worth the quality of food! Friendly service as well! Can’t wait to go back

Everything is good - Edit
Everything we had here was delicious and we can't wait to come back. We sampled what we think are three very distinct dishes, including the katsu plate which has a wonderful rich, thick sauce and comes with rice and a light mac salad; chili cheese fries which may have been the best we've ever had; and our favorite, tempura tacos where the shell is actually tempura eggplant.. it was amazing. Also tried a peanut butter cookie, which we greedily ate before lunch (my boyfriend who claims not to like peanut butter also loved it), and their version of an Arnold Palmer (nettle tea mixed with lilikoi lemonade).

We can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menu.
Pros: Delicious, thoughtfully conceived food, Friendly

We had the nachos, BLT, Mac Salad, Peanut Punch, and raw blueberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious and came in good-sized portions. Outside seating with a gorgeous view and free parking in the lot.

Everything I Tried Was Great - Edit
I visited Hawaii and ate here with my family. Most of us got Ruebens, one got the Loaded Nachos. We also tried the Blueberry Muffins and Chocolate Chip Cookies with Walnuts. I tried the nachos. Everything was so good that we ordered some food for the return flight home—more blueberry muffins and chocolate chip cookies, plus Philly Cheese Steaks. Seriously, everything was great. I would go here all the time if I lived on the island.

We got the nachos and the Philly cheese steak. Both were SO GOOD. I think these are my favorite nachos from vegan places that I’ve had on the island.

Amazing, unique food experience - Edit
I had the tempura tacos here and i must say they were SO COOL! A must-try for anyone looking for a delicious and unique flavor and texture experience. My partner tried the pastrami Reuben sandwich, which was mouthwatering and just the right amount of delicious gooeyness. Such a wonderful little gem! Happy to find such a culinary creative place.

Vegan "comfort" food (geared toward meat eaters) - Edit
Delicious! A bit overpriced, but worth the experience (especially if you're dying to have "chicken katsu" for the first time since going vegan, or their rendition of ribs, a Reuben Sandwich, or facon).

Amazingly delicious! - Edit
I live on the Hilo side and drive right over (2 hrs) when I found out there was a new vegan restaurant on the island. The Rio was worth it! My friends and I split 3 things and everything I tried was so good! The tempura tacos were my favorite! I also picked up a few things from the deli: homemade vegan butter, cookies, and kimchi. All were really good!

Third vegan spot in Kona!! 🤤😍😀 - Edit
Huge kitchen! Bakery stuff, juices, and a delicious menu! You can purchase their homemade mayo and butter to go as well as other things, I loved the kimchi. The cold case has excellent options to buy by the pound. The sweet potato salad is bomb. Everything is organic! The Reuben is the best vegan sandwich I've ever had! The fajita taco is unbelievable, and the Philly cheez steak is incredible! I will be eating everything here within the month! Kitchen closes at 5, so be sure to order before then if your expecting to make it before closing

Super friendly folks and delicious food. Vegan cheesesteak was fantastic and the Ruben was even better. French fries cooked on coconut oil were a real treat also. Just remembered we brought desert home lemon bars!!! Ok bye.
