Loud but tasty - Edit
A small restaurant called "What the Pita" is located in a temporary mall built from shipping containers. The bottom row contains shops, the top row has eateries in it. While it is said to be a temporary construction, it has been there for years now.
Read more"What the Pita" serves things that would usually sold by middle eastern restaurants that cut meat from a huge rotating blob of corpse. Since I obviously never tried the real thing, I can only comment on this imitation. And I loved it! We went for the wrap. I expected it to be oily and fatty, but it wasn't at all. It was light and full of vegetables, making it a tasty and relatively healthy snack.
Do mind that "What the Pita" doesn't have seating. Instead, several small places share a central seating area with communal tables. This would be fine, were it not for the loud music that hardly makes it possible to talk. My recommendation: try "What the Pita", chose their wrap and eat it outside.

I have visited what the Pitta a few times now, it is my absolute go to eatery when I visit the Capital. The pitta is packed full of vibrant and mouthwatering flavours. Portion size is very generous. Packed full of the vegan Kebab slices which have such tasty seasoning on them. If you haven’t been to what the Pitta yet it needs to go on your Vegan Bucket list!

The seitan here is really well spiced and the sauces were really nice. You can also customise what salad you have in your Döner if you wish. However, the pitta was quite thin and started to go soggy and leak towards the end.

Seriously just go here and enjoy! This will be the freshest kebab you will ever have, packed full of salad, delicious mock meat and lots of flavour. If you're not so hungry, keep the rest for later as there's loads and you dont want to waste such yummy food!

I have been here twice and loved it! I've had the döner kebab wrap and the falafel wrap and fries. I wish I could eat more, the portions are big so good for big appetites. The value is great as is the quality, nice fresh ingredients. I'll definitely return.

i like that you can pick what goes inside out of the salad bar and that you can get it in different forms. And it tastes so good!! There are seats like outside of the container stall thing and there are heaters so its pretty warm and you can window shop while youre at it if you really want. Price isnt too bad either - esp considering how big the wraps / boxes are !!

This is one of the single best vegan food options you can get anywhere. The best thing, is you can take non-vegans and show them just how tasty cruelty free food can be. Thankfully despite living in the Midlands I work in London often enough to make a visit and it’s always on the agenda when I do.

What The Pitta are just the best. It never ceases to please me to bring non-Vegans here and see their minds get blown by how delicious this food is. Shoreditch BoxPark is hectic as hell, so be prepared to struggle to get a seat and to eat to the sound of very loud music... however there is always Deliveroo...

Finally!! A vegan doner worth buying - Edit
This stool immediately drew me in as it had one of the biggest queues at boxpark. It was 100% worth the wait. I had the vegan doner with all the trimmings and it was a delight. They managed to pack in loads of fake doner, veg, unique sauces and even chillis. I will definitely be returning to what the pitta some time soon.
