Great vegan food

A really lovely meal. I had home nade spring rolls.. large, crisp, freshh served with a pad Tai inspired salad and peanuts. I had it with delicious tenderstem sat on a humous and dresed with sesame seeds, chilli oil and soy.
Very pleasant restaurant and a delight to have several freshly made vegan choices for each course.

Yummy Food But Not Many Options

Spent Christmas eve, Christmas day and boxing day staying at this hotel. The dinner menu on Christmas eve had a vegan starter option, two main options and a desert option. I had winter veg soup for starter which was delicious, an incredible tagliatelle for my main and a cherry gateau for desert (which was just a brownie with cherries and chocolate sauce - but still yummy). Lots of my non vegan family also really loved the soup and tagliatelle.

The Christmas day menu was disappointing as there were no vegan options on the chrismtas day menu at all, just one vegetarian option for starter and main (obviously all the deserts are veggie). I was served the winter vegetable soup again, then a delicious lentil mushroom roast for my main (which I noticed was on their party menu), followed by a brownie and ice cream with chocolate sauce for desert, which was also very yummy. I think I enjoyed my Christmas meal more than eveyone else in the end!

Breakfast was good, classic English breakfast buffet was on offer, so I had tomatoes, mushrooms (which I checked were cooked in just vegetable oil and water), hash browns and baked beans. I was also able to get veggie sausages which were very yummy, but there was no sign anywhere so say these were available, only when asked, so would have been better if these were more readily on offer. Also would have been better if the buffet had clear symbols of what was and wasn't vegan like their menus. There was soya milk available for tea and coffee but not for lattes, cappuccino, hot chocolates etc.

Pros: Delicious food, Clear lunch/dinner menu, Lovely view of harbour from restaurant

Cons: Not many vegan options, Unclear breakfast menu
