Excellent gluten free vegan options - Edit
There were many vegan options here but even better were that some could be offered gluten free as well. The vegan "fish" also isn't tofish which makes a change. They even have gluten free vinegar. All separate friers etc.

This is a fabulous chip shop! The chips are possibly the best I've ever had. There is a board displaying lots of vegan options. This time we just had chips and mushy peas.

Having a little day out by train along the coast and my wife really, REALLY wanted fish and chips. So it was great to get into Aberdovey and walk past here and see the word vegan on the menu. Dived right on in and placed an order.
Read moreWas it the greatest fish and chips I’ve ever had? No; but that’s because I prefer banana blossom style myself. This was more trying to be a fillet and replicating fish style. Still nice though and cooked just like anything else at a chippy so made for a good experience.

I was very excited to see somewhere in Aberdovey that I could get vegan fish and chips. There were plenty of options which was ace. Friendly staff and quick service. As someone else mentioned the vegan “jackfruit” fish was quite greasy but the chips were fresh and crisp. It was awesome to be able to sit at the beach, enjoying the food and view!

Curry sauce, chips and mushy peas all amazing. “Fish” was super oily. Battered sausage was good. Nice to have options. A battered tofish would be preferable and much less greasy.

Jackfruit fish - Edit
We went here because we had heard about the vegan fish and chips. The fish was jackfruit when we went. The portion was huge but too greasy for me. That might just be to my taste so don't let me put you off. I will go back to try some of the other vegan options next time I am in town.

Your review said the "fish" was banana blossom so I thought the difference could possibly have been the fact that it was jackfruit when I went. I usually enjoy jackfruit though so probably just a difference in what we like. Glad you enjoyed it.

Read moreI cannot recommend this place enough, great selection of vegan alternatives and the staff/service are fantastic.
The Banana blossom fish was flakey, light and very tasty. Battered vegan sausage just like I remember, samosas, chickenless nuggets and more.
I wanted to give them 5/5 but the happy cow app reserves 5 stars for strictly vegan restaurants only.
