Lovely Café

What a lovely tea room café tucked away on a hilly street in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
Delicious vegan cakes available (I had an amazing citrus sponge).
Several vegan meal options on the menu too.

Lovely Place - Limited Options

We visited this this tea room on a rainy day in July due to there being vegan options. However, it turned out there was only one option. I ordered the “homemade vegan tart” only to be told the pastry base wasn’t available - disappointing. They did suggest putting the filling of the tart on to a jacket potato so I agreed. It was okay, not the best thing I’ve tasted and certainly not the worst. Perhaps if more people visit, they will offer more options. Lovely, friendly staff and very quaint inside. I would visit again but only for a hot drink rather than lunch.

Limited vegan options

This vintage styled cafe has amazing views of Bridgnorth and is light and bright. They usually have a soup, jacket potato and a vegan tartlet. There is soya milk for drinks and usually a cake. To be honest I wish they would try a bit harder. I was recently given a flyer by them and they do boast vegan options but I don’t go here very often as it’s a bit limited. There is an area that is dog friendly and the biggest selling point for me, apart from the view is the kids play room. It’s small and you can’t watch your kids from your table but you can get a table just outside it. Ideal fir kids about 2-5 I would say.

Popped in after seeing Violets on Happy Cow, pleasantly surprised, staff very friendly and knowledgable. Girlfriend opted for vegan tart and couldnt believe how much filling and fresh salad it came with. I had teacake which was also very nice.

Pros: very clean, good value

Cons: none

Great little cafe with a couple of vegan options

They have a vegan Med veg tart and the soup of the day is usually vegan and they have dairy free spread for your bread or baked potatoes with beans. They Also have soya milk for hot drinks and at least one cake is vegan too!
