If you are looking for authentic Mexican food that is also vegan, don’t miss this place! Incredible food. High quality. Reasonable prices. Can’t wait to come back here. Don’t miss the $5 happy hour wed/thur/fri. Only on Thursdays they have birria tacos with consommé. Unbelievable. Everything is made in house. Don’t miss this place!

Search for some vegan eats on HappyCow in SF and it showed Vida Cantina was "opening soon" (5pm PST). First thing came to mind was "Ok, tapas hours." Lol Read a few reviews, saw their menu online and saw they had a solid "happy hour" menu. So I made my way to Vida, weaving thru the FiDi and made it to the destination. Great bar ambiance w/ Latin music playing. I ordered the $5 HH Marg, $5 HH taquitos (2), $3 HH Tecate, and their $13 churrizo burrito (a bit overpriced but still smack). On top of the quality customer service, I left a happy camper. Definitely coming back during happy hour again but $30 worth of taquitos, margs, and cerveza. Lol 5 stars.

I love supporting all vegan restaurants and was so pleased to find this place a quick walk from my hotel. The staff was friendly and service quick though it was not a busy night. The menu has plenty of options. The portions were a bit small especially for the price. My margaritas though was adequately alcoholic. I liked my food but I also found it a bit bland and unimaginative. It may have been just the dishes that I chose though and I would definitely go again. I just wanted a little bit of that special vegan magic and didn't quite find it here. Maybe next time!

This place was delicious and the staff is so friendly. So happy I found this spot. I got the taquitos and enchiladas and both were amazing. From the filling to the crema drizzle every bite was so flavorful and it was really hard not to inhale the food. I got the lemonade mock tail as well and it was thirst quenching. I expect to be back here again and again! Next time I want to try the tacos.

What an amazing place to have Mexican food! The portions were big, the spices and flavours amazing, and the staff was great. So much vegan food to choose from, it was a bit hard to know where to begin. But everything was top notch quality.

Cute and tucked away in an alley along with some other restaurants in SF. We ordered appetizers but decided to get our entrees elsewhere. The food was really fine, but I think we were expecting more. The jalapeño poppers and cauliflower taco were OK. The best thing we had was the queso and nachos, which was very tasty.

We had a great experience here on a Saturday night. Started with potato tequilas and chips and salsa. The tequilas were nicely crunchy and the salsas actually had some heat which were nice changes from other lackluster Mexican restaurants. For entrees we had the asada tacos and the enchiladas rojas. Both were fantastic with homemade corn tortillas but the tacos really shined through with realistic chickwheat protein as a stand in for meat. Best vegan tacos I've ever had!

If you visit SF MoMA, highly recommend stopping here for dinner after. The food and service were phenomenal! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience. The mound of nachos is what dreams are made of! The cashew cheese and homemade guac, homemade vegan chorizo, all tasted fantastic. Their vegan jalepeno poppers are amazing, as well as the Baja Oster Mushroom tacos!!

I’ve been meaning to try Vida Cantina. Finally it was a day of treating myself. After a wonderful facial, I wanted tacos. What better way to end my day by having these awesome goodness. The most incredible “carne asada” was ah-maaaaa-zing and the cauliflower and chorizo were equally delicious. I met the owner/chef and she was so pleasant and simply a gracious hostess. Excellent service and food. Next time I will try their cocktails. Going back for more! #Veganuary
