We sat down to have the bang bang tofu and two of the shakes with fruits and protein powder. The shakes were very nice and the tofu was also very good. However, the menu itself was nothing too special. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice and the staff is super friendly

This place is incredible, from the outside we thought it was a 5 star hotel but later realised it was a restaurant! The place is brand new, it’s top class, comfortable and the staff are amazing. The chefs are brilliant, we know this because the food that came out had so much taste and was presented perfectly. I must say the shroom melt burger was small, but nether the less it’s not replaced my top spot for my best burger! Outstanding 11/10 would go again.

Extensive fully vegan menu. Food was of a good standard and well presented. More upmarket than other restaurants in the area. Quite expensive but everything in the area is and it's worth paying slightly more for a big step up in vegan food quality.

Best vegan food in town - Edit
Obvious reasons why it's top rated in el Nido. Massive fully vegan menu, was difficult to choose what to have the couple of times we went there. Service is great. And the food is awesome. Bit more pricey than other spots in the Philippines but pretty on par for el Nido. Must try at least once.

Read moreNow the food, I can't express enough how impressed we were by every dish we ordered. As you can tell by my photos we tried almost every item on the extensive menu and everything was consistently superb. The Bang Bang Tofu was amazing, we also loved the Souel Bowl, and Cajun Tacos. The cakes were also divine, every cake was outstanding. We've eaten in many vegan places in the world and this is up there in our top 10. The quality is what you'd find in London decor to match, it's super clean, tables are spaced apart and it was always comfortable with decent aircon.
We stayed in the hotel which is part of the same building for 2 weeks so we were lucky to have wonderful breakfasts everyday in Ver De too which at that time is only open to hotel guests. The hotel is called H Hotel and is also listed on Happy Cow.
We ordered take out a couple of times, and also items like the Rasta Pasta and TLT were great for packed lunches on our day trips, we got these the night before and put them in the fridge overnight and were still lovely the next day. They were always packed so well too so we didn't have any issues with the lunches falling apart.
Ver De also own the coffee shop next door called Grounded and we loved that place also!
After eating here daily for two weeks we felt sad to say goodbye, we already miss the amazing food and the lovely staff who always greeted us warmly with a smile.
Highly recommend and we would definitely go back!!!

Most Delicious Food I've Ever Eaten (not an exaggeration) - Edit
Honestly the best food I've ever eaten. I went with a big group of ~15 friends - we ordered a bunch of dishes and shared. Every single plate was the most amazing food I've ever eaten. I don't write a lot of reviews but this place deserves it. There's a magician back there in the kitchen somewhere.

I stayed in the H Hotel where Ver De is located and I never would have expected such top-notch plant-based cuisine in such an out-of-the-way location. Seriously, this place would be at home in any major city.
Read moreOf the 3 days I was in El Nido, I ate at Ver De twice for dinner (in addition to the included breakfast for hotel guests only). The bang-bang tofu is going to revisit me in my dreams! Even a mixed crowd of vegans and non-vegans would be satisfied with the offerings, that’s how impressive the food is.
My only wish is that there was a proper dessert option, particularly something frozen or chilled. Also, the wine offerings need improvement. Aside from those two things, this was one of the best vegan dining experiences I’ve had in 8 1/2 years of being plant-based and traveling all over the world. I genuinely can’t wait to return!

Cons: No real dessert options, Limited wine offerings, especially by the glass

Myself and my friend have been struggling to find anywhere that sells vegetarian/vegan meals, and were both craving tofu. We stumbled across this place by accident and wow, the food was amazing, the restaurant is beautiful and the staff were really lovely.
Read moreIt was a little more expensive than other places we'd eaten at previously, although for the quality it is definitely fair. Plus, there's air conditioning so the extra £ is worth it!
The menu is huuuge. We ended up getting a tofu starter to share, a vegetable panini and a burger, but honestly if I could have had one of everything I would! 100% recommend!
Pros: 100% vegan menu, Breakfast, light bites and main meals
Cons: A little more expensive than other places in town, Too much choice!!

I would say this is almost the best vegan food I’ve ever had. We managed to try almost everything on the menu and was not disappointed. We went back most nights and even for lunch, no faults what so ever. Service was so attentive, staff friendly, food amazing.

Quite pricey for El Nido, but delicious food and excellent service. The staff are all so very lovely and the atmosphere there is really nice. I ordered two dishes and it was too much for me to finish, so I took the leftovers to go and they will be great for another meal. So the portions are very generous and the food very fresh! My waiter was very sweet and super eager to help with anything. I highly recommend this place!
