This is the only time I've had falafel in Japan. It was so good. Had a good hint of Norwegian meat cake even.

Pros: Reachable by Instagram!, It is the only fully vegan option in Matsuyama., The man was nice to talk to.

Cons: You will have to search for it.

べグレカさんはヴィーガンカレーを提供するキッチンカーさんです。イベントなどで出店されています。お持ち帰りをして帰ると嬉しくなります。 #Veganuary

Pros: ヴィーガン料理屋さんは地方に滅多にない!, メニューがシンプルで選びやすい, キッチンカーなのでイベントも楽しめる

Cons: サイドメニューもう少し欲しいかな?, 出店情報が掴みにくい

Very nice curry

100% vegan bar/restaurant/music store, very nice menus, a lot of options. Only downside is that the portions are relatively small, more of a lunch size. But extra side dishes are available at decent pricing. Curry tasted very good.

Pros: 100% vegan, Great curry, Great side dishes

Cons: Portions relatively small

tasty curries

My boyfriend and I had dinner here whilst staying in Matsuyama. Very happy to see an all vegan place to eat there! We ordered the soy karaage to start which was insanely delicious. We had a curry each, and some baked shiitake mushrooms. Very tasty food, and a well stocked bar. The staff were so lovely and friendly, and gave us some free vegan cookies when we left!

Pros: big drinks selection , delicious soy karaage

3rd time at Vegreca

I am really happy that Matsuyama has Vegreca. It is the only fully vegan restarant so please support them :)
Their opening hours chanfe every month but they post a schedule for every month on facebook. Please check their fecebook begore going. Usually they are closed once per week (at the moment wednesdays) and only open in the evening. They also are active at some festivals.

Their curries are good and served with brown rice. Side dishes can be added. The food tastes nice, my favorite so far being the coconut curry. I've notices that they usually offer 3 curries and they do change from time to time :)

The owners know a little Engish and are very friendly!

They also host small events such as a game night. Today some old classics such as Street Fighter2 etc. were available :)

The Restaurant is close to the exit of Gintengai (the shopping street in Matsuyama) and the Faries Wheel.

Pros: Friendly owners, Very nice place (clean, homy feel, sells t-shirts), It's all vegan and close to the exit of Gintengai

Nice vegan store

Looks like he is selling at the store more records and Tshirts than food - the food is good - but limited to several curry options and it is vegan

great food and beer

We came here two times during our time in Matsuyama.

The food was very good as were the beers.

It is easy to find and there is an English menu.

The two owners(?) were very nice.

The Thick Fried Tofu Steak and the Vege Dandan Noodles were very good.

Definitely worth checking out if in Matsuyama.

Ein sehr gemühtliches lokal, klein und toll eingerichtet. Hat auch Platten und CDs zum Verkauf. Der Service war sehr freundlich und herzlich. Das Essen war super lecker, sodass wir eine 2. Runde bestellten. Der Preis war angemessen. Der selbstgemachte Limoncello war der Hit!!! Unser Essen war komplett vegan. Wir bestellten Curry (2 verschiedene) und Sidedishes.
Würde sofort wieder dort hingehen! Danke

Friendly, fun café serving excellent curries

Before we headed to Matsuyama for a 5 night stay, we researched some vegan and veggie places to eat and found Vegreca. The online listing we found described it as part record shop, part veggie café. It's really easy to find - head south on Imabari Dori from the station area until you reach a junction with a Starbucks on it, then head east on a street parallel to some train tracks. Vegreca is at the end of the block on the right. We arrived just as they were opening for the evening. The front of the building is a record shop and there is also a bar and a few tables. Two different curries are served, chalked up on the blackboard behind the bar. Chickpea curry and Thai green tofu curry were on the menu when we visited. We had one of each, and they were delicious, accompanied by brown sticky rice. We also had a couple of side dishes - falafel with dengaku sauce and a snowpea salad. Up to that point, everything was vegan. I couldn't resist the cheesecake for dessert, though! If you skip dessert, you won't have any dairy in your meal. Hot drinks are served with soy milk. The owners were really friendly, and we chatted about music with them a little. While we were eating, some regulars popped in for a drink at the bar. The atmosphere was great, with good music playing, friendly faces, and delicious food. Our bill for three courses and a hot drink each came to around ¥3000 in total. If we're back in Matsuyama again, we'll be eating at Vegreca again! We checked their opening hours on their Facebook page, and there's also a monthly schedule of opening times on their website - we'd recommend you check before heading there, because although Vegreca is open frequently, the opening hours are irregular.

Pros: Friendly owners, Mostly vegan, Good value for money
