Eh - Edit
Honestly, I have eaten at Veggie Grill a few times, the food is good...not great. I feel like this place just capitalizes on the whole health food craze, their menu is extremely limited and reads identically like the Native Foods menu. Don't get me wrong- the food is good, the prices are just disproportionate to the experience. Drive five minutes down the freeway to Native Foods at the Camp, it's worth it and for the exact same prices you get a little more atmosphere, less vegan-fast-food and more restaurant.

A Staple of Vegan Food - Edit
Veggie Grill is a consistent place when it comes to vegan food. I definitely enjoy their food a lot, the burgers are very clean feeling compared to other places. Carne asada fries are amazing definitely a must have here especially if you split it with someone else. All of the sandwiches are really good, never had a non-vegan chicken sandwich but I do know the one at veggie grill is good. I don't recommend the mac and cheese honestly as sad as I am to say that. For whatever reason when it's on the burger it's better, not sure if they use a different recipe or something, but the side mac and cheese is just not good. Definitely is reminiscent of making nooch mac before vegan mac and cheese was as good as it is now. My personal recommendations if you're going here are the carne asada fries and steakhouse burger.

Yummy lunch special - Edit
Another yummy Vegan lunch. Today I tried the $9.95 special. I went with the teriyaki wrap with Mac and cheese and iced tea. OMG I loved the wrap. I wish it came in a giant size. I could eat a ton of the wraps. The Mac and cheese wasn't as cheesy as the Marketplace location but it was still good. Service was fast. There's plenty of seating inside and outside.

Another great Veggie Grill - Edit
The Irvine Veggie Grill was our second location to visit for this chain, and it was every bit as good as the first! Veggie Grill has tasty, reasonably-priced, consistent food. I don't think you could go wrong with this menu.

Something for everyone - Edit
I’ve been going to veggie grill since its early times in 2009. Overall it has something for everyone - for meat lovers, vegetable lovers, spicy, non spicy, comfort foods, healthy foods. It’s evolved and expanded over time with some hit or miss dishes over the years.
Read moreMy favorites: I love some of the classic comfort foods like vegan nachos, the crab cake, buffalo wings and sweet potato fries with chipotle mayo.
The seasonal menus sometimes are hit or miss for me, but I value veggie grill’s drive to try new recipes with different flavor profiles. The beef bowl I had was delicious. Zoodles in the other hand were a bit bland.
The atmosphere is always relaxed and staff are friendly - this is true of every veggie grill location I’ve gone to.
One con I can think of- with delivery and take out occasionally they make mistakes like including the wrong dish or forgetting something.
Everything combined = 5 stars
Pros: Great Variety , Quick service , Good atmosphere
Cons: Occasional mistakes

What happened to Veggie Grill? - Edit
I used to love this place. It’s been awhile since I’ve visited, and I’m very disappointed. I ordered food for pickup, and the entire experience was bad, from the phone call (which is now an automated system???) that kept disconnecting me all the way to picking up my food, which took more than 30 minutes! I had to keep going up to the counter to ask if it’s ready yet, even though I was sitting right next to the counter, because they couldn’t be bothered to let me know my order was ready (yes, they knew I was there). I would have at least given 3 stars if the food was decent, but the tomato soup tasted like bell peppers with no tomato or basil flavor, and the fat east bowl was over cooked. The rice and broccoli were basically masked potato texture. I’m so sad, because I loved this place years ago and would go weekly. Maybe I’ll try a different location and hope that one is better.

Another great location - Edit
This was our first time at this location as we were meeting out of town friends there, but it's as tasty and clean as the other locations. Also, it was super easy to find. It's right when you leave the main parking structure and enter the Spectrum near the carousel. Everyone can see it and try it! And this location has lots of outdoor patio seating.
Read moreAs for the food, I tried a salad for the first time as I have always gotten a burger before. The chop chop salad was hearty with tempeh and quinoa in it, but I would have preferred regular ranch dressing to the chipotle version, but that's just me. Dirk had the Carne Asada (always a good choice) with a side of kale. Their kale really rocks. Our friend thought so too as that was her side as well. We split the nachos and mac 'n cheese and while the nachos are good, the mac is SO amazing. OMG! Our friends had the cajon bayou and chiptole BBQ burgers and finished every last bit of their food along with those awesome sweetheart fries.
I really love Veggie Grill for its all-American food and I'm always happy to see them in such mainstream places. They were definitely busy and I don't know anyone who doesn't like them. I know non-veg people who found the chain on their own and not through me. That's how good it is!
Pros: great veganized American food, easy to find and park, great place to take non-veg people

Quite AMAZING! - Edit
This place is so good that I ate here twice during my vacation. I was surprised to see how nice this Vegan chain of restaurants is. I thought the food was amazing, the prices are a little high (when you're thinking fast food), but well worth it given the quality.
Read moreI had the Chipotle BBQ burger (wow!) the first time and the V-Burger (wow! again) along with a coleslaw side (yum!). My friends got other burgers and they all enjoyed them as well. I really liked their chipotle ranch sauce and got an extra side of it each time as well. I found the staff to be very pleasant and the decor was really nice, it actually reminded me of Noodles & Company. Hopefully this chain expands to Chicago, it's amazing!

This is the newest Veggie Grill location (#3). The menu is the same as the 2 other locations: veggie burgers, salads, sweet potato fries, lemonade, etc... yummy and addictive fast vegan food. We love it and look forward to more openings in the Greater LA area!
