Not great

I wish I checked happy cow before going here. Initially i wanted the coconut rice dish but told not possible. I then asked for vegan korma and rice but he said no rice left due to time of day (8pm). I got a mango smoothie too. He told me the korma came with a "roll".

Im not 100% sure what i ordered was fully vegan. The "roll" was like crispy pancake which reminded me of crepes. The mock chicken in the korma was tasteless and texture unpleasant. The korma sauce was nice. I couldnt help feel that the smoothie had milk in it so I just ended up quickly paying and leaving. If you are vegetarian its probably fine to try here. But if vegan then maybe avoid? Maybe I was wrong tho, I wish I asked how things were made but there was a bit of a langague barrier (ignorant tourist here!) so just left it.

Also after I ordered, i saw plent of people get dishes with rice so was really annoyed at that. I probably wouldve enjoyed the korma more with rice. Just felt like hassle overall.

Unexpected uncomfortable

Unfortunately we didn’t feel welcome in the restaurant/kiosk. The waiter came very quickly. First surprise: the menu was a lot smaller than what we saw online (only 4 vegan dishes, 4 vegetarian, 5 drinks).
We ordered and the waiter answered to one drink “ah mango lassi would be better”. That was confusing.
The food came fast. It was good, but nothing special (as you have some opportunities of Indian food in that area). But the drinks didn’t come. One arrived after we nearly finished our meal. The other one never arrived.
Overall I didn’t feel welcomed at all.
I also have the assumption that the owner changed - it also looked differently than in the pictures on the website.

Cons: Parts of the order didn’t come, Communication “skills” of the waiters, Loud surrounding

Confusing

Unsure about the experience. The place looked a little bit untidy with a bunch of houseflies circling around dirty dishes. The menu appeared delicious but one of us got totally wrong dish. When asked if it was vegan, the waiter said all vegan, even though it was marked on the menu which portions were vegan and which not and this one was not. So it seemed that he didn't know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. We also ordered lassis but they didn't come at all. We then asked for tap water and the waiter started to wash drinking glasses for us in our vicinity. We decided just to pay and leave.

So I don't know what to say! All of us (6) ordered different food, and half of us were very satisfied with our portions. I, for example, liked my food very much. Then two of us found their food not good and one got a non-vegan portion which she couldn't eat.

The staff was very nice and friendly the whole time and I had a feeling that they tried their best, but something was a little off.

Pros: Some of the food was very good, Staff was very friendly

Cons: Untidy, Difficult to communicate, Unsure on veganism

Great and inexpensive indian food

The food came very quickly. The root beet curry was great. I also recommend the vadai entrée.

Pros: Inexpensive , Quick , Tasty
