My group got the rancheros omelet, the French toast and the Brunchwich. All were delicious and hit the spot. Drinks are great and the staff was lovely.

Fantastic food in a beautiful unique surrounding. The presentation of the food was like artwork. The portions were plentiful, you can share al dishes and fill up. The drinks were refreshing, unique and bursting with flavor. They had vegan versions of the local island dishes. We had the banana pancakes, loco moco, da brunchwich and the rancheros omelet. It’s rare to go to a place and EVERYTHING tastes phenomenal. The owner and staff were super friendly. We will definitely be going back before our trip ends.

Amazing vegan artistry - Edit
Banana bread French toast (a daily special) was ethereal. Omelette was as good as any I’ve ever had. Drinks are creative but not experiments. Flavor was categorically enjoyable. Very happy to support these folks.

A little bit of vegan heaven. Vegetate is amazing! Starting with the staff…beautiful and kind people. They are welcoming, helpful, friendly and attentive. Next our the lovely animals. We were not only welcomed by the staff, but adorable felines too. Then a few cute pigs wandered through. Yes they are an invasive species, but they definitely know they are safe at Vegetate. Last and certainly not least is the food. There is not much you can say beyond perfection! Day 1 we both got the Rancheros Omelette which is amazing! Day 2 we got one of the omelette and the other is their delectable banana bread French toast. Not too sweet and the perfect complement to the omelette. Sharing the two it was difficult to figure out which flavor to end with. The music, atmosphere, animals, staff and food are a must for anyone, but especially if you are a vegan visiting the beauty of Kauai!

Out of this world! My meat-eating fiancé was skeptical, but his eyes rolled to the back of his head after just one bite. We got the rancheros omelette, brunchwich, banana pudding, and Mac salad. Each was insanely delicious. It was all so fresh and made our bodies feel so good. Highly highly recommend!!!

Welcome Vegetate!! 😋🌱 - Edit
When we got to Kauai the other day and I got on the happy cow app I saw that Russell was temporarily closed, which broke my heart, but we saw that there was a new vegan restaurant in Kapaa so we quickly put the navigation on. And we ended up back at Russell’s, which is now vegetate! Although it’s sad to say goodbye to Russell’s, we are so thrilled to welcome Vegetate and the wonderful crew. And they kept the same chef. The location is beautiful as always, and the new owner and staff were very warm and welcoming. The menu is amazing. It’s mostly breakfast items, but there is a couple lunch options as well. I had the Local Moko and it was so good that I cannot wait to go back and have it again lol on our way to Poipu Super stoked about this new restaurant!

We stopped in for lunch right after we landed on Kauai and luckily it was day 1 for Vegetate! Lucky us!!!
Highly recommend the breakfast sando and the omelet. We’re writing home about it!
