Delish! Vegan goodness - Edit
Two picky vegans ate here three times while in Kappa. It was great each time! We had multiple dishes and it all was great! Arugula salad, Ruben sandwich, the frittata… all was great. Only downside is it’s seat yourself, get menu, order and pay all on your phone so it lacks in interactions/personality and service. I had to go find someone to ask questions about the food prior to ordering and ended up getting my own water refills. However the food was great despite the lack of human interaction.

I went to vegetate with my meat-eating family. Everyone left impressed and pleasantly full. I had the French toast with a side of vegan spam, which was a fairly large portion and super delicious. Our group also ordered the rancheros, the loco moco, and the banana pancakes. Everyone was happy with the flavors. I would highly recommend this place.

I ate here so many times while on Kauai. Just off the highway, they have a nice, quiet patio area in the back to eat outside.
Read moreThe menu is fully vegan, local-sourced with gluten-free options. The dishes are creative and absolutely delicious. There wasn't any dish I didn't like. Tough to choose a favourite, however, the ube mochi pancakes and the chocolate breakfast cake were amazing.
The staff were very friendly and happy answer questions about the menu and make substitutions.

Great brunch spot! Healthy and comfort food options and cute spot. Had the luck of being there for their first dinner service and it was creative and healthy too. Hope they keep that up and changing the menus as the dishes I had weren’t as flavorful as the brunch offerings. But it was only the first night! Can’t wait to return and try again.

One of the few fully vegan places on the island. Took over Russel’s. We tried the kale salad with chickpeas, purple sweet potato sides, the bruchwhich and a taro burger. Not a bad bite in there. Will be back.

The French toast was perfect. Okinawan sourdough, dragonfruit syrup, miyoko's butter, papaya. I got it with the kalo sausage and bacon. Both of those were amazing too.

Lovely covered garden to sit in. Enjoyed many refreshing drinks, the ube mochi pancakes and rancheros. Would definitely visit again if in the area. Fresh food. Clean surroundings. Nice touch with the re-usable straws. Attentive service. Comfortable seating. I can’t say enough great things about this joint!

Vegetate was an amazing place that set up our days in the island. With so few spots with a full Vegan menu, we enjoyed trying all their sweet and savory meals! The rancheros, the muffins, the coffee and da bruddah are all recommended! You get to hang outside with roosters, cats & little lizards

We have gone here for years and have always loved the food. Under new ownership now and just not the same. Kale salad was delicious, but everything else tasted like vegan fast food. Still great to have an all vegan choice on the island.

I felt taken care of. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the amount of care and pride the restaurant puts In everything. The indulgence of the dishes I ate was out of this world. The Omelet was thick with filling and suace. The Banana pudding is so fluffy, delicate with crunchy surprises inside. I felt like I was eating in a high end restaurant but at the same time was very comfortable and the atmosphere is calming and casual.

Fantastic food in a beautiful unique surrounding. The presentation of the food was like artwork. The portions were plentiful, you can share al dishes and fill up. The drinks were refreshing, unique and bursting with flavor. They had vegan versions of the local island dishes. We had the banana pancakes, loco moco, da brunchwich and the rancheros omelet. It’s rare to go to a place and EVERYTHING tastes phenomenal. The owner and staff were super friendly. We will definitely be going back before our trip ends.

Banana bread French toast (a daily special) was ethereal. Omelette was as good as any I’ve ever had. Drinks are creative but not experiments. Flavor was categorically enjoyable. Very happy to support these folks.
