Tasty and affordable - Edit
Massive portions yet so reasonably priced it’s insane. Friendly owners. I really enjoyed the laksa and fried dumplings, super super good. Also tried the chicken drumsticks and satay noodles soup, sadly they were both lacking in flavor.

Probably the worst vegan meal we've tried in Brisbane - Edit
Every single dish we ordered lacked flavour ( dumplings -most of them broken when served- a soup, a stir fry, even the " stinky " tofu was bland )
Read moreI have no idea what the hype is about but we are no fussy eaters but left with most food uneaten.
A no go for me from now on..
Cons: Zero flavour

Large portions & delicious food - Edit
The first dish I ever tried here I loved so much that I haven’t even had anything else. Big portions, good price and the staff are lovely. Beancurd wallet with suji as an entree is perfect 👌

The best! - Edit
Everything is so cheap so we got a selection of items from the menu. All delish!!! My fave was the veg/tofu rice, whatever they use for the gravy is just yum! I did order the chilli dumplings I think they were called. That was the only thing that didn’t excite me as there was just no kick in the chilli sauce, was more peppery. But overall one of my fave vegan friendly restaurants

Unbelievably good value - Edit
I genuinely cannot understand how I got the meal I did for the price I did. It was massive, healthy and delicious.
Read moreWe got the Satay Noodle Soup and the Fried Satay Noodles. They were both huge servings, served hot, and loaded with vegetables. The fried bean curd in the Satay Noodle Soup absorbed the flavours so well.

Mixed - was Expecting More - Edit
The food is jusy ok. If you are looking for inexpensive veg asian style food with large portions this is place. I recently went to two 5 plus restaurants and this was not on the same scale.
Read moreThe service was ok, but this is more like a fast food place that they bring the food to you after you pay at the counter.
As for the food. The menu is well marked with vegan, glutenfree option. They do use eggs so vegans beware.
I had the tum yum soup. It was enough to serve 4 - 5 people with a heaping bowl .It was tasty but the veggies and tofu where all different sizes and some veggies were under cooked and some were over cooked. Not the best I have had.
The king mushrooms small plate were good but it really needed a flavorful dipping sauce. They were bland. I covered them I. Chilli sauce.
The passionfruit infused green tea was the best part of my meal. It was make fresh.
The sweet potatoes dessert was greasy, not very dessert like and was expecting more of this one.
Pros: Cheap, large portions
Cons: Bland and fast food quality

Best in West end - Edit
For price, timing of food arrival, vegan selection and the food/drinks itself, Vegeme is easily the best place in the area.

Delicious! - Edit
Tried the suji and oyster mushroom starters and they were so great, the batter on the suji was phenomenal! I got the veggie noodle soup myself and it was a clear broth so unfortunately a bit boring - would probably order a few starters instead of a main next time because there was so many great options to choose from it was hard to pick just one!

Unique flavours & best prices - Edit
Nothing beats Vegeme. Even my non-vegan partner asks to go here. The laksa is big enough to feed two people for the price of one. The Suji is delicious too. Wish I could give this place ten stars!

I’d give 6 ⭐️s if I could! - Edit
Incredible food. So delicious! They’ve got a massive list of “small dishes” or starters if you like - get the corn fritters omggg 🤤 - we also had the fried rice dish and one of their satay noodle soups - absolutely incredible! Large portions so don’t let your eyes be bigger than your belly! Will 100% be going back!

South Brisbane Vego - Edit
A lot of their dishes look interesting (and very reasonably priced), but I only had time and stomach space to try their laksa. Absolutely huge - easily enough for two plus (2 ) diners - but unfortunately the quality did not match the quantity: very bland with no subtlety of flavours only made palatable with a bucketload of chilli and a squeeze of lemon. Perhaps the dishes that are already vegan (rather than ‘vegan option’) would produce better results.
Read morePros: huge servings, friendly service , central location
Cons: bland aussified laksa, split shifts only (like most venues in this city), not 100% vegan

Ok - Edit
Great selection of food and staff were so lovely. I really wanted to love this place as had heard great things, but I just found the food so oily that I couldn't taste it and couldn't finish my meal. I would like to go back again and try more items though.

Just Perfect for Vegan NOGOs (no onion no garlic) - Edit
I met a couple in the restaurant who said that if there was a restaurant like that on every corner in every city, they would have no problems going Vegetarian. Delicious food, lots of Vegan, no onion no garlic and gluten free options. Great service and ambience. A staple when visiting Brisbane

Pleasantly surprised. - Edit
Finding a car park was the hardest thing about the experience.
Read moreWe quickly found a seat on a Wednesday for lunch. Our table service was fantastic. While we waited we utilised there games of Connect 4 and drew in their colouring books.
The four of us ordered something each and as we do, passed around the table as to taste.
Easy to order, lovely to eat and a fantastic feeling from the waitstaff and good food.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Very well priced , Portions are better than fair.
Cons: Limited street parking , No self serve chilli options , They need better seats. Little tin things are bad

Get thee to Vegeme! - Edit
I cannot say enough good things about Vegeme - they are affordable and everything we have tried (over 6+ visits) has been deeeelicious. This is a regular haunt for us and our favourite dishes are - raddish cake and dumplings (boiled or fried). Vegeme's dumplings are fragrant and full of flavour - make sure to try some! The raddish cake is absolutely unforgettable and served with a yummy plum sauce.
