Delicious but expensive - Edit
I had the California burrito which was delicious (especially enjoyed their firecracker sauce, which was very peppery and spicy) and an OK shake which was on the small size for the price.

I wanted to like this place, but I couldn't. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but the poke bowl was very underwhelming. The spicy mayo that it comes with was one of the worst sauces I've ever had. The texture, the flavor, just…no. Fries were decent. Overall, there many better vegan fast foods spots out there. This one is a skip.

Found this gem of a restaurant while on vacation in Costa Mesa and loved it. Ordered the Cauliflower Bowl a 2nd time because it was so good. Loved the gluten-free Brownie, where the gluten-free Jam Bar ended up too sweet for me. The staff was super friendly. If I lived in the area, I would be a regular there! 100% recommended!

The staff made recommended the new “Veggie Stack” sandwich with oodles of vegetables and vegan cream cheese. It was really good, so hope they keep it on their menu!!
Read moreWe also got their cauliflower bowl. Loved that our dishes were mostly vegetables. You have an option of making the bowl base all greens, all grains or half-and-half. . Also free refills on our ice tea.
If I lived here, we would be regular guests.

Good Fast Food - Edit
I decided to try the chicken “tenders” (they looked like coins?), fried zucchini, fries and soft serve. Everything expect the fries (which were super good) we’re all just fine. The soft serve was good, just way to sweet for me, and I wouldn’t call it vanilla. It tasted like cake batter to me, which is good, just not what I was expecting. Not the best vegan fast food I’ve had, but that doesn’t meant the food is bad by any means. I would give it another try, and probably enjoy my food too. As I told my boyfriend, “it’s good, not great, but also not bad.” If I lived in the area, I would probably eat it often.
Read moreNote: It was kind of slow for “fast food,” but the food came out super hot. I am assuming it was because the lunch food had not been made yet that early in the morning. You usually cannot get fries so hot you have to let them cool!

I ordered the blast sandwich. I was able to get it with a gluten-free bun. It was very good, there were tons of sprouts, avocado & Tempe on the sandwich, and it came with a side of ranch.

The whole family tried this place. The kids got the burger, which was tasty. My wife got the breakfast sandwich, loaded tots and churros all of which were tasty. I got the jackfruit bowl and was really disappointed, it was mostly rice and bland. The food overall was ok but I don’t think we’d come again

I'm a little embarrassed to admit how much I miss these from McDonald's.. The one I ordered from here was just as good if not better. It was hot, cheesy, and the texture of the bacon was really good. This was a five star breakfast sandwich.

A few days before Thanksgiving I called the restaurant to place an order for a holiday meal, to be picked up on the day before Thanksgiving. When I called on the pick-up day to verify the order, no one answered the phone. I called several times, each time getting the voicemail message. So, I just went to the restaurant to pick up the food. The workers there were extremely disorganized and seemed afraid to talk to me. After several minutes of waiting, I asked them to just tell me whether they actually had my order. They admitted that they didn't have it. They didn't even offer to make the meal for me while I waited. Given their extreme indifference, I won't be giving the restaurant a second chance.

I've been here a couple times, but in my most recent visit I ordered the loaded fries and the caesar wrap which came to about $18. The service was crazy fast and my food was done in about 5 minutes. The fries were really good, but I think I've found that their "Veg'd Sauce" isn't my favorite. I leave it off on their breakfast sandwiches. The caesar wrap was awesome! Only thing was, it was a little too salty for my taste but nothing unpalatable. I appreciate that they have breakfast all day now as well. I'll definitely be back!

What a disappointment - Edit
The most consistent thing about Veg’d is it’s mediocrity. The taste is always good, and the food is almost never hot. I’ve been there at least 7 times now and only once genuinely enjoyed my meal. The patty (chicken or burger) is always lukewarm, but the sauces make them tasty.

I’ve given this place plenty of chances, even considered reaching out to the manager, but in the end i just wish this building was still the Del Taco it once was, at least my food would come out at the proper temperature and be affordable.

The burger was really good but the person taking my order gave me the beta to get a kids meal and then add tomato and lettuce, so you can have fries and drink for cheaper than the original burger. Everyone was really nice and felt full leaving!

This place has way more variety than your typical burger joint. They offer bowls, salads, smoothies, etc. All of the options look delicious and the service was quick! I had the cauliflower bowl and it was very flavorful and filling.

Veg’d is supposed to be vegan “fast food”, and I think it accomplishes that well. Everything I’ve tried is tasty. If you’re after something a little indulgent, like a burger and fries, this place will scratch that itch. They do have some healthier options, like bowls, but I haven’t tried those yet.

I really wanted this to be fantastic because I live just a few miles away, but after visiting twice I’m not interested in coming back. If we didn’t have far superior options just down the street, we might return, but since we are spoiled with better nearby vegan options, Veg’d honestly doesn’t make the cut.
Read moreOur first visit was their grand opening weekend, so we thought maybe they hadn’t quite sorted things out yet. We tried the drive thru because it was peak Covid times, and we ordered breakfast items. The loaded tots were barely “loaded”, the mocha smoothie was a huge disappointment (especially considering the price), and the rest was just-okay.
We decided to give them another try when we had a friend visiting from out of town who wanted to try all the vegan restaurants. I had the breakfast burrito (which had spots that were so spicy eventually I couldn’t eat it and gave the rest to my friend, who had no problem with spice but agreed it was VERY spicy), and the coffee float which was another disappointment (more icey than soft servey).
Again, it’s not awful, but if you want vegan versions of fast food I’d recommend Plant Power in fountain valley, or if you want a great veggie burger I recommend Nice Burger just down the road in Costa Mesa.

Decent burger - Edit
Today this non Vegan decided to try Veg"D. I went with the loaded tots, and the single burger. The tots were really good. It's hard to believe it's not real cheese on them. The burger was good also but the patty wasn't firm like other Vegan burgers I've had. I would still order it again though. Service was good and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
