Best ramen ever! - Edit
The soy milk ramen here was to die for. The noodles tasted home made, and the broth was absolutely delicious! I’ve also tried the charcoal-grilled deep fried tofu with brown rice, which was incredibly delicious - I would eat it again and again. Also, the natto bowl is very tasty. However, if you don’t like natto, it may be a bit adventurous for your tastebuds. I also recommend the lemonade. There is also a great selection of organic vegan goods in this cafe. The service was lovely - all of the ladies were very friendly!

Good! Not a world beater. - Edit
I had the veg curry and rice which was hot, fresh, and simple. They were good enough to give me some organic vegan hot sauce so I could manage the spice level, and that was nice of them. Overall it was enough to eat for lunch, and I enjoyed the meal. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back unless there were no other veg choices, but it's a fine option if you're in the area.
Read moreEdit: Forgot to mention the miso soup! It's fragrant, light, and mild, although not bursting with flavor. It was filled with various veg and I think I detected mushrooms. Unique and tasty take on the old standard.

Variety of options and quality food - Edit
Great place- I called ahead and the chef let me order if I got there before 5 pm. I had the deep-grilled tofu and the garbanzo curry over rice. Also had the cake of the day which was really good too. I think it’s a little pricey, but worth it.

Delicious! - Edit
The staff were super friendly, food was amazing, the bbq soy meat was the best tasting soy meat we’ve ever had, I wish I could get a whole bowl of it. A slight walk from the station but definitely worth it after walking up the shrine.

Best vegan food in Japan - Edit
Absolutely incredible food in a serene environment with wonderful staff and service. We loved it so much we went twice and had the same meal because it was delicious! The marinated tofu and tofu pizza were supreme. The giant salad was perfect. The soft serve ice cream was the best we have had in Japan, not too sweet, just perfect. We also really loved the back story of the chef, just wonderful.

Great selection and great vegan soft serve - Edit
A decent sized all vegan restaurant in Kyoto. They have pizza, curry, bowls, and more.
Read moreI ordered the teriyaki pizza and Hojicha (roasted green tea) "shake". The pizza was probably a 3/5. I liked the creative toppings (rice cakes, mushrooms, delicious mayo, etc), but the crust was really underwhelming. The "shakes" on the other hand are an easy 5/5. I use quotations because you eat it with a spoon, not a straw. It's more of a malt that is common in malls in Canada/America than a milkshake, but it was really good. I chose the Hojicha and really enjoyed it.
Pros: Large menu, Great icecream
Cons: Pizza was above average, but barely

Very delicious and big portion - Edit
They have a separate menu for vegetarians who can't take onion/garlic (5 pungent veg). Portions are big and sesame soy ramen and charcoal tofu rice bowl are must trys!

Delicious and filling - Edit
Chargrilled tofu rice bowl was delicious and hit the spot. The Softserve ice cream was nice but it had a strong soy taste and I prefer soy ice cream when it’s a bit more bland and creamy. If you love the taste of soy then you’ll have no problem with it. I’m just fussy when it comes to ice cream. Regardless, would go here again!

Lovely Place with Delicious Food - Edit
The place has a great ambience (furin sounds, beautiful flowers and plants outside). It has 3 different kinds of menus - vegan, vegetarian, and vegetarian without the five spices (mainly onions and garlics) so you will have to indicate if you have any requirements. The tofu over rice was simply AMAZING💗Located in a residential district so it is quiet, but one will need to walk a bit from the nearest train station. Owners are really welcoming and friendly. But do note their last order is at 4.30pm and they close at 5pm.

Enjoyed the teriyaki tofu bowl and I tried some of the ramen as well. Both are mouth watering and delicious. It's a bit out of the way and tofu bowl could have bit a smidge bigger.

Easily one of our favourite vegan restaurants in all of Japan. Beautiful, friendly and welcoming staff. Lots of delicious options to choose from! Great flavour combos like Tofu Pizza and the tastiest Miso soup (obviously no dashi). A must visit if you come to Kyoto!

Disappointed - Edit
We had great expectations and travelled from other side of the city for a Friday lunch, only to find out that the chef had a day off and therefore they only had two out of 7 main courses available. They had some ok pizzas but that is not what we were looking for. I really want to try their food if I find myself in Kyoto again – but after this I'm not sure I would take the chance.

Cannot express how amazing this cafe is. Everything about it from the service to the homey atmosphere to the delicious food, is wonderful! They have an extensive vegan menu, with lots of desserts too. everything looks incredible. I tried the BBQ tofu with rice, and the matcha thick shake. Delish. Although the items are a little pricey all the food is good quality and you definitely feel good after eating it. Would 100% go again.

One of Kyoto's vegan heavens - Edit
We called less than an hour ahead to reserve for 7 people on a holiday and they answered friendly in english that it is no problem!! This is not common.
Read moreThe place is easy to find, nice small restaurant, pleasant atmosphere, friendly and fast service.
I had the ramen with orange juice and rice in a set plus the strawberry parfait. Simply amazing. Other ramens simply focus on the soup, but here you get a LARGE variation of veggies added to the bowl, which are so refreshing and yummy. Very different taste than other ramens I have tried.
You can get curries, pizzas and casseroles, salad/natto bowls and very good ice creams and cake of the day.
You can also order for take-away, they also have lots of things as merchandise
Pros: fully vegan, good options, merchandise, organic food, no sugar used, lots of veggies!, nice place, friendly staff
Cons: rather expensive unfortunately, you wait a bit, but your food is fresh!!
