Quick and tasty - Edit
Not closed!! Another review said they are closed, but they were very much open tonight 9/25/18. Had dinner here tonight. No chicken with mustard, lasagna bolognese, and fajita pizza. Like another commenter said, it’s not a five star restaurant, but it is very tasty tapas and pizza. I love that the whole menu is vegan. 1 mi walk from cathedral, but cool plazas and park (Hercules) along the way.

Awesome tapas! - Edit
I was here in June 2018 and after a long walk I was really hungry and had come to the right place. I ordered three tapas:
Read more1. Tortilla de patata. This was great, big portion and rich in flavour. I could have eaten one more, don't miss this!
2. Fajita con tartar. Not bad, good combo with the tartar sauce.
3. Seitan con patatas y salsa de whiskey. The seitan was mouthwatering good.
All perfectly accompanied with beer!
The place is small but the owner friendly and nice with rock music. Hope he can get a bigger place in the future, I would definitely return, this is my favorite in Sevilla!!
Pros: Still dream of the tortilla and whiskey seitan!, Very very friendly prices!, Great owner and some nostalgic rock music

What a nice place!! - Edit
I had my first vegan tortilla at Alameda Rock and I loved it! The owner / the man working there was super friendly and really relaxt as well. The food was really good, although a bit oily, but so super tasty. I would describe it as a tapas bar and it's so nice to try out all kinds of different food. It is a really small place, but it was full with people the whole time and that was really nice. Definitely recommended!

Ran out of lots & cash only - Edit
It took us ages to walk here and by the time we arrived more than 3/4 of the menu was gone. My kids were really displeased.
Read moreThe rice was nice but was served cold and everything else was zapped in the microwave. The food was tasty but it made a hasty appearance at the other end within a few hours!!!
It is also cash only and the nearest cash machine is not exactly close.
If I was in the area I might eat here again but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip to visit.
Pros: Vegan options, Rice is tasty
Cons: Cash only, Frequently run out of dishes

good little deli - Edit
I went with my mom, who is not vegan. We reserved 30 minutes in advance and it was not problem. David was awesome and very welcoming. Because of the late time (around 3.30ish pm) they have run out of few things so we order "strawberry salmorejo" to share. My mom had a very filling salad and I had the seitan al wiskey that was microwaved. It had tons of cumin !! Finally, we had a carrot cake that was simply fantastic. We had a nice time. I have to go back to try other things in the menu.

tasty food - Edit
Several dishes available. Also there are burgers and pizza. We arrived 15 minutes before closing time but the hostess was very nice to us.
Read moreShe recomended some plates and baked us two pizzas very quickly. All the food was great and she was very nice. Also, she is a person that really cares about animal welfare, even invited us to attend a manifestation that same day.
Also, 2 pizzas, 3 tapas and 2 beers was 28€, wich I tought is a good price.
Pros: extremely friendly, tasty food, good price
Cons: a little messy

True chef at veganizing tapas - Edit
Reception and setting:
Read moreWe bummed that we hadn't picked the hostel above this bar, but it might have been best for our wallets. The bar is located in the entrance hall of the hostel. This didn't bother us, as we were just very hungry and don't need a lot of atmosphere to enjoy our night. The chef welcomed us very warmly.
What we had:
The no-pork, the seitan in whisky (both tapas) and two pizza's: one with spinach and one with chorizo. Obviously those weren't the only things on the pizza's. We topped this off with 3 beers each.
What we paid:
Around 30-ish euro's. We consider this a good price for how much and good we ate.
Some thoughts:
The food was amazing, we got served really quick and we felt we had a complete meal. On the other side, the mixed crowd hanging around (with the hostel) made it less of a restaurant experience. This didn't bother us, but is worth mentioning to set up expectations. The capacity is completely beneath the fame this place deserves in my opinion, but i couldn't say how crowded it gets.
Some explanation:
On our trip through Sevilla, Córdoba and Granada my girlfriend and me went to this restaurant, so the rating should be taken in comparison to the others for a full overview. I've made a systematic overview, but don't take this too seriously, as my opinion could even conflict with my gf. Mind that the bill of this review needs to be split in two.
Pros: Outstanding tapas, Correctly priced, Warm atmosphere
Cons: Crowdiness could be possible, but no real cons

Great vegan bar - Edit
The place is so cozy (they changed the local that appear in the photographs from 2014) and it was quiet when we arrived. Pizza was excelent and dvery vegan product that substitute the original in each meat meal is so tasty that it's not possible to miss meat. Desserts are also awesome.

Excellent service and food - Edit
We were a bit apprehensive after reading the other reviews but when we arrived at a few minutes after 8pm the owner was very pleasant and helpful. The food was really good and enjoyable. I enjoyed my burger and the chocolate brownie. The music played was a great accomplement to the meal.

Great little cafe - Edit
So nice to find a vegan tapas cafe in the heart of Seville! On a rainy evening, just walking round the corner from our hotel, there it was. Great food - we had fajitas, meat balls, lasagne and a salad. Tried to fit in the desserts, but the orange carrot cake and Sacher torte, while delicious, defeated us! Will certainly go again.

Favorite place in Seville - Edit
Alameda Rock is the first vegan place I visited the first time I arrived in Seville a few years ago and it is still my favorite. The owner has a real passion for cooking vegan food and finding new dishes and tastes. The menu is full of vegan delicacies and even my non-vegan friends liked what they tried. Last time I went I tried the no-chicken with mustard sauce, delicious as always, and I even managed to get the recipe! It's a must-go if you are a vegan (or not) in Seville :-)

tasty but... - Edit
Waitress friendly but I think the waiter, perhaps a little less so to foreigners.
Read moreThe faux bittersweet pork & mustard chicken, both with rice, and the tortilla (X potato cake) very tasty. Good prices for tasty food - but note they are microwaved. It's not the poshest of places but good option for a cheap & tasty dinner.

Rude staff! - Edit
While I had high expectations of Alameda Rock, my experience here was very disappointing. I went for a vegan wrap and an ordered an soja ice coffee. The waiter gave me an hot soja coffee instead, but I was fine with that, mistakes happen.
Read moreAfter a not so special wrap I was still sitting there on a table with my laptop when the waiter came and said that it is not an internet café, in other words: if I could leave asap so other customers could sit at my table. This was so rude in my opinion, no apologies or nothing. I left and decided to never return here.
I did not feel welcome at all.

Just ok - Edit
I was there last week, which gives me flashbacks of Sevilla, if you haven't gone, you have to go.
Read moreThe owner and cook was there when I went and he was doing an interview or photo-shoot or something along the lines. He was polite but seemed to be a little simple due to the other tasks he was doing. The food's presentation is amazing. However, I was not blown away with the flavors. We had the hamburgers. He makes his own patties and I can only assume that they're made with chick peas as they have that flavor. I was expecting a little more texture I guess. I did not try the rest of the food so I cannot be a good judge of full menu. I speak fluent Spanish so I had no problems communicating. However, I was able to witness another tourist ordering and the owner brought him a menu in English and made good efforts to communicate with him.
Pros: Affordable, Varied menu, nice environment
Cons: Small location

Good vegan food in relaxed environment - Edit
I've visited this place on a number of occasions and it's always worthwhile. Reasonable prices, very nice tapas and friendly staff and atmosphere. It's the kind of place you can comfortably go on your own with a book, or with a group of friends.
Read moreI particularly like the vegan pizzas and frankfurters, but there's nothing I've had that I haven't liked so far. If you're in the area and looking for some tapas you can't go wrong here.
