Read moreI ordered the miso style ramen and hubby ordered the soy ramen - I had a try of his and it was nice but I prefer less salty taste so I was very happy with my option, you need to order a drink with the meal which is what most places are like in Japan.
Quickly served & delicious meals! Definitely worth a try!

Amazing ramen at Playpen Friends. Fully vegan restaurant with a lovely atmosphere right next to the vintage shopping district. They had 6 wonderful choices of ramen to choose from with a lot of toppings. Soy meat, exotic mushrooms and veg alongside delicious broths. The staff were lovely and the vegan menu and japanese menus were combined so there was no price difference. Great experience, the best ramen we have had so far in Osaka.

Ramen muy rico, pero como en casi todos los sitios, la base es de leche de soja, que puede parecer un poco sin más pero es que la leche de soja en Japón está mucho mejor que en Europa por alguna razón 😭 tienen un ramen con base de tomate que no vi en ningún otro sitio. Read moreI ordered the tomato tonkotsu ramen. It slightly tastes of pizza, maybe the tomato oil? The fried tofu was delicious. I drank all the broth and I wasn’t super thirsty later which is always a good sign that it’s not too overly salted.

Deliciouslt creamy Tonkatsu Ramen - Edit
I am honestly quite happy i came all the way to this ramen place. After a whole day of walking, i was considering calling it quits and just settling for a cocoichi or something similar, but the vegan tonkatsu broth ramen here is delicious and worth the detour. We also know that vegan ramen noodles can be a hit or miss, and i have got to say, the noodles presented here are nothing if not nice and springy.

There are six types of ramen in this cafe, we ordered the one with soy sauce, as well as onigiri with kale. We also ordered oolong tea. The ramen was really delicious, a large portion. The onigiri was warm and much tastier than the same onigiri that I bought at the combini)). The service was fast and it was comfortable to sit in the cafe itself, quite spacious. There is a small vegan goods store and there is a small amount of handmade dog clothes downstairs, very cute🤗
