One of the best vegan bakery - Edit
I had not visited store so far but had tried different breads.
Read moreTheir croissants & pastries are beautiful made as vegan version. Wish to visit store someday soon again & try other menus!
Plus, you will enjoy to walk alongside of Dongtan lake park and its clam scenery.

worth the trip - Edit
Both places that Vegan is Hip have been were far from me, but I have never regretted making the trip there.
Read moreAll the breads are amazing and there are lots of different choices (but that’s also a downfall! i want it all!). Here they also have drinks and even sandwiches, as well as the classic waffles they used to sell in Seoul.
I tried a lot of the stuff on my last trip and everything was great. My non vegan friend said that the sandwich was the best they ever had. The only thing I wished is that the bagel would have been toasted before they put the cream cheese. The rest of the breads were warmed up, though! I would probably try a different thing next time, probably the yogurt bowl. The jalapeño cheese salt bread was the best thing and I had two.
The breads don’t make you feel too heavy afterwards and although they must be made with (vegan) butter, they don’t feel greasy or heavy.
Another perk is that there is a lake very nearby that you can take a little walk around and even have a picnic there if you would like.
Also as always , the owner is a doll. She’s so kind and a very great girl. I feel good spending my money there and supporting her hard work.

Vegan Croissant Land - Edit
After an experimental year in the north of Seoul, Vegan is Hip has reopened in the far south of Seoul, in Dongtan.
Read moreTheir new location is very different from their previous one: They have established themselves as a bakery cafe specializing in croissants and pastries.
And their croissants and pastries have good quality! In terms of texture, they are hardly any different from regular croissants!
The cafe is big enough to fit several tables. The atmosphere is calm and clean. It is located near Dongtan Lake (동탄호수), which is a popular destination for family outings in the neighborhood. The surroundings of the lake are green and offer space for picnics, kite flying and taking walks.
Pros: taste good, nice drinks

Dongtan is hip? - Edit
Finally, something vegan in Dongtan. It is in Dongtan2, near the lake park. Mostly croissants and coffee, but they do offer a couple of types of sandwiches (on croissants) and soup.
Read morePros: Everything I tried was good
Cons: Not really a con, but I wouldn't complain if they , offered actual meals and/or savory bread
