Dead Bodies (Meat) in our Hotel - Edit
This is a murder meat restaurant called via 82 located in a hotel, with a separate menu that they falsely advertise as a vegan restaurant. I knew something was off by the smell and the lack of vegan joy typical of vegan restaurants. As I sat to give it a shot anyway, I noticed a tv screen showing a video ad for the actual restaurant via 182 with pictures of mutilated animals as I was eating one of the worst lentil soups to ever touch my lips. Needless to say, I walked out as soon as I realized it came from the same kitchen where they were mutilating dead baby animals for profit. Overpriced and lousy food made this the complete horrific anti-vegan dining experience. [Removed] these guys and their [removed] business.

A Wonderful Experience - Edit
I’ve been Vegan for a year and a half now but I’ve never been to an actual Vegan restaurant. I was in Cairo for a few days so me and my mom decided to try out Vegan In Our House. The Restaurant is a short walking distance from the El Maadi metro station.
Read moreI really liked the style of the place. When we got in we immediately knew this was going to be an expensive restaurant and we were right. But it’s not a waste of money. The food was amazing and the service was great. I’d like to give special thanks to Ahmed Fathy, he was very hospitable and he recommended the ‘Creamy Potatoes Gratin’ which was our absolute favorite.
We also had the Cream of Mushroom Soup, the Asian Pasta, & the Mexican Sausage Sandwich.
It was overall a great experience. I’d go there again on special occasions.

Total jerks. I was alone at first and they would have fooled me too until I saw them bringing someone else the "dead baby" menu and noticed the tv screen with steaks playing on it. Nice to see there is at least one other vegan in Egypt, I felt like the only one in Africa! 🌱❤️🌱

Yeah i’m pissed off too. I submitted the update and they looked it over but haven’t changed the category yet, they just mentioned it in the description of the restaurant and asked for more updates. So if you’d be kind enough to submit one to support mine they’ll probably change it

I just ordered from here and it was amazing!! The Mushroom pasta was the best I’ve ever had, it was so good and a really big size. We ordered the veggie lasagna and it was super nice too, had a curry taste. The spring rolls were awesome also a little bit of a curry taste and we got a burger too which was nice. I’d 100% recommend going here!

The burger and roll were tasty. We didn't try the Beyond meat options because they were very expensive with the tax included on top (about $14). The set up is a little confusing: is it two restaurants operating in the one service space? There was a strong smell of meat when we entered and a TV on the wall showing non-vegan food offerings, presumably from one of said restaurants. Anyway, we appreciate that someone went to the effort to provide something vegan in Cairo other than falafel and koshary!

Great place, lovely staff, very attentive, and super kind. Their menu has a great variety, and the food quality was top-notch. I had their oriental salad as a starter, and their mushroom beyond burger as a main.

Very Delicious! Had a great time trying naturally vegan variations of Egyptian food, but this was a welcomed taste of home! I tried the house salad, creamy potatoes, mushroom burger, and egg rolls. Everything was on point!! I am so happy I tried this place despite a review I saw downplaying their skills. I am coming here first the next time I’m in Kemet!

Tucked a few minutes from the banks of the Nile, this vegan restaurant is attached to a nice hotel complex and boasts a good range of options for starter, main and dessert

The burger pate was made by the chef on site and they have a delightful cake store attached with a great selection of vegan options

Unfortunately this was a really disappointing visit. The pictures all look excellent but what was presented was far below standard. My burger was over cooked and I could only taste charcoal.

A new vegan restaurant, so I have to try it. We choose two burgers. The burgers unfortunately taste like undercooked falafel. You can not take a falafel and try to grill it on a hamburger grill, it has to be fried. Who ever who invented this burgers has to do new homework. This place needs someone who develops good food/menus first. It’s a missed opportunity. I told the chef, the burger was truly inedible and he said, choose something else. I choose a pasta pesto instead. It wasn’t a true pesto, rather a green olive oil/ garlic sauce with a little bit basil... still it was tasty, much better then the burger, but again, not what it should be. The waiters were very friendly and supportive. So I gave 2 stars instead of 1. Management needs a vegan consultant/chef if they want to continue and want to attract vegan people.

First and only restaurant in Cairo - Edit
I had an amazing experience in this restaurant. I had a mushroom cheese burger and nuggets which were both homemade in the restaurant. I also ordered a chocolate muffin which was warm and sweet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant also offers sandwiches and pasta dishes. Worth to pay a visit while in Cairo!
