Everything we had was very tasty. We had the cauliflower nuggets, 3 dips Combo with 2 pittas, Moussaka, Big Boss Burger, carrot hot dog, eat like a Greek, mushroom Gyros, Bannoffee and Snickers tart. 🤤

We went to Vegan Beat after stumbling past it on a walk through the Plaka neighborhood in Athens. We were so glad to find this little gem. Eating vegan or even vegetarian when traveling can be challenging but the service at Vegan Beat was terrific and the food was creative and delicious. We had the Greek gyro, which was so tasty. One of the two workers described it as “an explosion in your mouth” and she was right. Extremely flavorful and filling. We also tried both the desserts: the chili chocolate mousse was tangy and sweet; and the strawberry cheesecake cookie (not a cookie, more of a parfait) was particularly excellent. If you’re vegan (or even if you’re not) check this place out. The service is as good as the food.

Vegan gyro = amazing - Edit
Wow, we're glad we stumbled onto the street where we saw the sign for Vegan Beat and then made our way up the stairs to meet Alexander. We really liked him (and even took a photo with him... he is super friendly and fun) and LOVED the mushroom gyro. It's exactly what we wanted. We wish this restaurant had locations throughout every city in the world. Keep up the great work!

Seconds away from the hustle and bustle of tourist streets, this little place is just perfect! Friendly staff, amazing food, great value. I had the mushroom gyros. ... oh my, so tasty! Definitely recommend a visit! As you walk down Pandrossou, away from the Cathedral, look for George's big jewellery shop on the left on a corner. Vegan Beat is up that side street in the inside shopping bit up some steps.

Cozy small place with friendly staff - Edit
Great all vegan place. Menu was limited, but the veggie ball tortilla and strawberry cheesecake trifle I had were delicious. The mango dressing I got on the side salad was creamy and slightly sweet in a pleasant way as well. The staff seemed invested in giving you a great experience. Would definitely come again!

I went to Vegan Beat on two occasions in the same day. The food was so good I had to go back! First I tried the burger with a bean and veggie patty- it was SO good. It came with a lettuce salad. I usually hate having all/ too much lettuce in a salad, but they put a really good dressing on top. I then ordered a strawberry cheesecake cup- this tasted exactly like the real thing. If I didn't know it was vegan I would have sworn they used real cream cheese. Next I got the nugget tortilla, which again has such realistic "chicken" I had to remind myself it was a vegan restaurant. Each meal was really filling at around €4- 5.50 ea.

From the reviews, we expected an amazing experience. The touted mushroom gyros were tough, lacked chopped onions, used strong-tasting cabbage instead of lettuce, and were over seasoned (and we generally like seasoning). It had just opened, yet they literally had no drinks except beer and water -- no smoothies and no lemonade. The veggieball tortilla was somewhat better than the gyros, but nothing special. Everything has WAY too much slathered on vegan mayo sauces and dressings.

When I saw the Anonymous for the Voiceless placard I knew it was legit vegan. If you want to trick your meat eating friend into eating vegan get them the mushroom gyro. Also, this is perhaps the most food for the money I have gotten in Greece so far.

Delicious vegan food right in the centre of Athens! - Edit
The staff were extremely friendly, chatting with us about the food and offering some recommendations to try. The seating area is relaxed and airy, though I can imagine it can get busy quite quickly. Definitely looking forward to going back again and trying some of the other recommended dishes!

Really close to the centre of Athens. After a hot trip to the Acropolis we made our way to Vegan Beat, the staff were awesome, friendly and engaging. Making us both feel really comfortable in the cosy little space. The mushroom gyros and lemonade were out of this world. Best vegan food I’ve had in Greece. Skip the boring falafel balls and hummus from expensive surrounding restaurants promising “vegan options” take yourself to vegan beat and have a gyros, or 3!!

Hidden gem, tasty food - Edit
Vegan Beat is a delightful little restaurant, tucked away down a side path. The menu is modest but stellar; I had the mushroom gyro (which my mushroom-hating sister in law tried, and raved about) whiley husband had the nigget tortilla. The staff are exceedingly friendly and the space cozy. Highly recommend.

Me comí un gyros (3.50€) y una hamburguesa con tortillas y col (4.50€), ¡están riquísimas y barato! Y la chica que me atendió era un amor de persona, tanto si vas para "take away" o para comer allí es un sitio genial, sólo tienes que subir las escaleras. ¡Encantadores!

We took the burger and the nuggettaco. Both was really delicious. The ingredients were all super fresh and the food looked and smelled so fantastique. The owner was very friendly and we had a little talk with him. After all we tried out the vegan cheesecake. Go for it, its worth it! Even we allready had a dessert he offered us some free suprisesweets. So we were totally happy and full☺️.
