This was hands-down one of the best (vegan) dinners I’ve ever had. We couldn’t decide what to order, so we chose four items from the main menu to share—and it turned out to be the perfect decision! The dishes were largely vegetable-based, and I’m still amazed by how creative and flavorful the kitchen’s approach was. The staff and service were outstanding, and the atmosphere was superb. If you’re in Philadelphia, don’t miss this place—you won’t regret it!

Hands down one of the best meals I've ever eaten - Edit
The ambiance is very chic with quiet music and singing conversations.
Read moreThe hostess was so pleasant and warm, she offered a coat check which made seating even more comfortable.
I decided to eat out alone but I never felt lonely with servers checking on me as they passed down the aisles.
The food was absolutely amazing. I had the New Year's Eve (NYE) tasting. There was an option to have an alcoholic pairing but because I am going out after I decided to stick to a mocktail instead.
The food started out with bite sized snack portions and got increasingly larger. Everything paired well together and had its own unique flavor.
I'm not a fan of mushrooms, though they were delicious they still had their mushroom texture so those weren't for me.
The fritter had a crispy outside and soft inside. Delightful and light way to start the meal.
The charcuterie board was savory. The avocado with fennel piperade was my favorite of the set but each piece had its place.
The fondue was delicious and salty. I was looking forward to the soft pretzel as I saw many of them pass my table. It was everything I was craving, soft warm and comforting.
The winter salad was fresh and filling because of the lentils hidden under the greens.
The fregola pesto was fantastic and warm, but it wasn't my favorite because of the button mushrooms. I am saying this as someone who just doesn't like the texture, the flavor was perfect.
The grilled tofu was smoky and had the texture of a steak. I don't know how they achieved that flavor and texture combo but it really was the star of the savory menu items!
Che dau trang beignet was a bite of pure decidance.
The Mirror cake was rich. I love the grape jam that was paired with this slice of cake.
I would do this again next year if I'm still in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience!
Pros: Great service, Delicious food

I’ve been to this restaurant a number of times from the time it first opened. We get the seasonal menu. Always good. In a nice historic building. Always a pleasant evening.

Excellent upscale vegan dining - Edit
Second time at Vedge did not disappoint! Started with the rutabaga fondue and crisp hominy fritters - both excellent and the well balanced flavors and sauces on the fritters were delightful. Next the campfire carrot - how do you make a carrot this good? I will never know. And the blackened tofu. Finished with the pink lady cheesecake which was out of this world incredible - creamy, decadent and flavorful!

Did not disappoint! 5 stars - Edit
This was our second time eating at Vedge and it lived up to our expectations. The chef creates the most plant-based delicious combinations. We will definitely be back next time we are in Philly.

Creative and fine, tasty whole food vegan. Seasonal menus and great wines. Was lucky enough to go for a work dinner and tried the tasting menu which impressed my non vegan colleagues with its range and flavours. Went back alone to savour it.

Philly's finest - Edit
@vedgephiladelphia is a vegetable-focused fine dining restaurant by James Beard–nominated chefs Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby.
Read moreFor us, it’s the gold standard and pinnacle of Philly vegan fine dining — every dish delights, every visit unforgettable. A must‑visit. We ordered à la carte, though they also offer a tasting menu.
For drinks, we enjoyed Saratoga sparkling water, hubby had a Manhattan (extra cherry 🍒), and I sipped the GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS — gin, strawberry, fennel, vegan campari, and coconut milk. It tasted like a Pink Drink — and it was divine.
For dinner, we shared:
⭐ 🍠 RUTABAGA Fondue with today’s soft pretzel & yesterday’s pickles
⭐ 🌽 All of the CORN — crisp hominy fritters, black pepper grits, esquites, and "birria" gravy
🥦 Charred BROCCOLI Steak with low-country creamed turnip rice, horseradish butter, and turnip chow chow
⭐ 🍜 Spicy Dan Dan Noodles — black vinegar glazed trumpet mushrooms, sesame, and mala pepper
🍽️ Blackened TOFU — runner bean & okra étouffée, refried quinoa salad, and Tabasco vinaigrette
Each dish delivered bold flavors and thoughtful textures, making it an unforgettable meal.

Don’t Miss This Upscale Spot - Edit
Vedge is a fantastic rare upscale vegan spot, that offers a unique dining experience. Everything we ordered was amazing, and we really loved the charred broccoli.
Read moreThe service was excellent, and the food comes out really fast. The only slight negative is the small portion sizes, but it’s par for the course for restaurants like this.

Order the entire menu. It’s that good and you can’t go wrong. Many incredible vegan restaurants use fake meats to recreate classic dishes- not Vedge. At Vedge, you get pure vegetable creativity. It is a really spectacular meal.

A rare, fancy experience - Edit
While visiting Philadelphia, we celebrated my husband's birthday in style at Vedge. The ambiance is both upscale and homey. It's a splurge, so be aware that the portions are small: the idea is that you'll get 2-3 items per person. The broccolini and miso butter (appetizer) and the flan-like dessert were our faves. But we ate up everything!

The service is well above any other restaurant from start to finish. The waiter and staff are able to articulate every dish, every ingredient to the detail while you enjoy your journey through fine dining food. We chose the prix fix Vegan tasting menu that consisted of 5 courses all amazing and very flavorful. I encourage everyone to sample at least once while visiting Philly.

Simply the Best - Edit
This was easily the best vegan restaurant in the country when it opened 12 years ago, and honestly, it's probably still holding that crown.
Read moreThe way they highlight and manipulate vegetables is simply unlike anywhere else and will open your mind to the possibilities of vegan cuisine. And it's amazing that this quality of food is so affordable. They could easily charge twice as much if this restaurant were in a lot of other cities. Big W for the Philly restaurant scene.
Pros: Unmatched food quality, Excellent service, Affordable for fine dining
Cons: Can get booked up quickly

Vegan fine dining?! - Edit
This was the first fully vegan fine dining restaurant I’ve been to and it did not disappoint.
