must revisit - Edit
The callalo patty was a major win for me, but I couldn’t get past the mustard-like taste of the yucca mac. I didn’t take advantage of their fresh juice/smoothie bar but my friend liked their bottled soursop (guanabana) seamoss drink. The fresh buffet and refrigerated desserts smelled and looked great, but select items seem to sell out fast.

Can get busy. - Edit
Visited on the off chance as I was passing. The big vegan sign caught my attention
Read moreUnfortunately had to wait half an hour for my smoothie.
In the buffet section I also noticed there was a curried salmon dish. Not sure if it was vegan fish. If not they need to change their sign asap.
Friendly workers but some had long nails and lots of jewellery on. Which I'm sure goes against food hygiene standards.
Pros: Smoothie was nice
Cons: Long wait

Everything was good but definitely needed more seasoning or salt. Imo. The bread pudding was good and the veggie patty. It was also pretty pricy.

A Must! - Edit
This place was delicious! The employees were very welcoming and helpful. I got vegan Mac and cheese, collard greens, curry drumsticks, and mashed potatoes! Everything was so good. I wish the place was bigger but I do like the casual vibe. Will definitely go again to keep trying different foods.

Good Grub - Edit
The servers are really kind and helpful. The food varies depending on what you get. (The soy chicken drumsticks/buffalo wings are amazing!) It's a decent price, and fills you up. I do not recommend any of their bakery options as my muffin was stale and the rest looked the same. Would recommend for an easy meal
Read moreUpdate: I've been back, my second visit changed it from a 3 star to a four star. The food was better, I highly recommend the meat alternatives and their sweet potato! I also had slice of a "death by chocolate" cake and it was amazing. So overall, better than before and it is possibly just a constantly issue.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly staff, Amazing faux chicken
Cons: Inconsistent quality, Sad macaroni

Delicious! - Edit
I ordered the veggie burger wrap, SOOO GOOD! And for a very reasonable price! Very quick service, the staff was very polite. The restaurant also offers other vegan options that aren’t sandwiches, burgers or wraps. Only con, it is not in the greatest area.

Veganlicious - Edit
Went for lunch. Busy during lunch w/ a line for the buffet of assortment goodies. I had the Syd chken drumsticks. Loved the flavor of the curry . The barbecue one could have had more sauce. Greens were a little tough & yams much sweeter w/some nutmeg & cinnamon. Macoroni hit the spot. Overall great place to get some vegan soul food while in Harlem.

a really good and different place in NYC - Edit
this place offers really nice food to choose from, ready made and kept warm "home style" cooking: different pastas, potatoes, sauces, faux meats etc. to have, pay by weight. food tasted really good and price is average in NYC I would say. serves listed items as well i.e burgers and fresh smoothies. had seatings and restroom inside.

Great food - Edit
Real good Caribbean Pay by the pound steam table buffet. They serve it for you but you can pick as many items as you want which is great since you are not limited to 3 or 4 choices. They also have patties and plenty of cakes and other treats.

Small but good - Edit
Uptown Veg offers vegan food - order from the counter, pay by weight for plates with your choices. There are also wraps and burgers. We had a plate of rice, kale and soy chicken - nice, and a veggie burger wrap - substantial. We also had some tasty vegan desserts - sweet potato cake and carrot cake. The space is narrow with limited seating, but manageable.

Great smoothies - Edit
I have just discovered this place this afternoon. It's a very small place. The staff is extremely enthusiastic about their food - I got a "freestyle" green smoothie with all the good stuff I liked. I only wanted to get something refreshing to drink, but some of my non-vegan colleagues got food there and they very much enjoyed it. I am definitely going back for the food! It looks like a healthy, not too pricey option.

My Harlem spot - Edit
This is one of my favorite spots in Harlem, and it's a must-visit if you're a veg*n in the area. They have a bunch of hearty and delectable dishes that rotate from day to day, so come early and often to try out all of their great fare. I'm especially fond of their veggie drumsticks, stir fry, and mac and cheez.

Great Value, Great Food! - Edit
The selection is really great, and the prices are reasonable. This is the only place, that I am aware of, that has vegan soul food, and Caribbean food. Since the restaurant moved to its new location, there is more room to fix your own plate, and the line moves much more smoothly. There are even a few tables if you can't wait to get where you are going to dig in. The curried "chicken legs" are to die for, as well as the cakes and ginger beer.
