We were only passing through Bologna and the vegan restaurants were closed for summer holidays (take note if you are traveling in August), but Uno was one of the few places open, so we stopped by and I'm so glad we did!
Read moreThe waitress said they are about 80% vegan and there was a lot on the menu to choose from. We ordered a delicious gnocchi in hemp seed pesto and a vegan cheese plate which was really great and affordable too.

Really loved the pain au chocolat, the smoothies and juices, atmosphere, staff, the amount of options and the fact it’s all veggie of course! And also it was great that the aperol spritz came with snacks all for €6!! But was pretty disappointed with the pasta. There wasn’t a lot of sauce on the spinach gramigna with soy cream and vegan sausage, the pasta was hard and chewy and there was no flavour. The same with the soy ragu. I guess because the pasta was made from hemp and spinach it wouldn’t be the same but still there could’ve been a lot more flavour to the sauce!!!

Delicious homemade pasta - Edit
Finding vegan homemade pasta is not easy. I asked the waiter which of the pasta dishes she recommends and went with the Gramigna. The food was delicious. It’s a busy but calm restaurant. Lots of vegan options on the menu.

Cute cafe with kind staff; it was very busy when we visited. Their vegan hotdog is a bit pricey for what you get but even though it looks simple it's suuuper tasty. I came here specifically to try the brioche con crema vegana and it did not disappoint! Only the oat cappuccino could have been better, it was kind of watery. Either way I would love to come back here to try all the different things they have to offer!

Fab café with mostly vegan dishes (some vegetarian). We went for breakfast and were bowled by the healthy juices/smoothies, delicious croissants, granola and coffee. I had the açai bowl, my partner the soya yogurt and fruit. The only disappointment was we weren’t there for lunch because the menu looked AMAZING! Staff were friendly and the vibe was relaxed (and dog-friendly).
