crucial raw vegan resource in Amsterdam

This is a marvelous place to stock up on specialized products related to a vegan, and specifically raw vegan, diet, and in addition to the store, there is a raw vegan prepared meal (10 euros) which changes daily, as well as juices and fresh almond milk. A very good and satisfying raw food option. Friendly, casual atmosphere. The location is a bit off of the beaten track for visitors to Amsterdam, but in a vibrant and pleasant neighborhood and not too far from the center of town.

Pros: child-friendly

Cons: somewhat inconvenient location

Old favourite

This is one of the first places I found in Amsterdam for a range of food, cooking, and body products, when I move here many years ago, and it is still ago-to spot for a number of my favourite staples products. This is where I bought my spiralizer, still get my coconut wraps, and my organic essential oils. If you are looking for something a little unusual or difficult to find, this is a good place to try. I often find something new to try, like a vegan cheese or a new flavour protein bar. They also have a web shop if you want to take a look around their range of products in advance. Lovely store, small but spacious, calm space.

raw food store

This is a gem in Amsterdam. After a fresh wheatgras shot I had a look around in the shop. The restaurant itself became really limited over time. You can still get some raw salads/pizza/dessert from the fridge in the back but they are all prepacked in plastic, unfortunately.

Nevertheless you can find a wide variety of health care products that you cannot easily purchase anywhere else. The prices are quite high but that also comes with the high quality of the products. Make sure you have a look at the promo section and have a small try out of the infra red massage in the sofa.

Pros: special health care products and books

Try all parts!

This is a raw cafe, yoga centre and health food shop combined. At the front you can purchase fresh juices, smoothies and one raw main dish per day, to eat-in or take-away, whilst the large shop at the back sells all the staples that would be expected in a health food store as well as yoga mats and accessories and kitchen utensils. Yoga classes take place everyday and can be taken as stand-alone sessions or as part of a membership, as can meditation sessions on weekdays. The place has been recently renovated and has a modern, light and airy feel, as well as a very friendly owner.

Pros: choice, selection

great place for a healthy tasty lunch

I often have a row vegan lunch there. The cook is very kind, the food is really good and the place is nice and peaceful. Sometimes I also buy at their huge health store. The fresh food choice is very limited but the quality is very good, I would definitely recommend it for a light meal at lunch time.

Pros: tasty, healthy, friendly

Cons: limited choice of dishes

Great place!

This is a great place in every way: many vegan options, all strictly raw, superb smoothies, excellent vegan sushi, simple and tasty salads, excellent sandwiches, very good store where you can buy vegan vitamins, vegan lip balms, delicious raw cereals and dry fruit bars, vegan and cruelty free products for hair and skin...

Awesome place!

We LOVED the vibe in this cafe/yoga center! The selection of food was very limited (they only had two types of salad, that's it!), but very tasty. The staff was extremely kind and zen - very welcoming. We were the only people there, and had our salad inside (it was pre-packaged, we took it out of a refrigerator). The staff was celebrating a birthday, and had made a phenomenal raw cake for the occasion. They must have seen us salivate (there were no desserts to purchase), because they brought us a slice - on the house - ! It was the best raw cake I've ever tasted. Thank you!

Pros: great atmosphere, clean, tasty

Cons: limited menu, not a restaurant, no outside seating

A little underwhelmed

This was my first experience of a cafe based specifically on rawfood principles, and I have to admit I was a little disappointed, as the lunchtime meal was essentially just a 10Euro salad with a small piece of bread. The shop has a wide range of interesting products, however, which was good to browse around.

Unlimited Health Takeaway meal

Love rawfood and this the only place in Amsterdam that has a fresh takeaway meal on weekdays.

If you did yoga a meal is 8 euro. You can also eat there in the yoga/rawfood store.

Everyday is a surprise. A must visit for raw food and yoga lovers.

Pros: rawfood, organic, fresh

Cons: not a real restaurant
