3.5 stars: tasty creamy nut sorbets, but static menu - Edit
The hazelnut sorbet is creamy and exactly what a hazelnut ice cream should be like: nutty, creamy and sweet. I also like the pistachio and chocolate sorbets, but they are not as good as hazelnut.
Read moreThe passion fruit sorbet tastes good as well, but is plain compared to the creamy sorbets.
A con is that they don't have vegan cones. Also, their vegan menu is static, so they’ve been surpassed by other ice-cream shops.

Some good vegan options - Edit
It was good ice cream, but it would've been better if the place was fully vegan and more than just sorbets.

Cons: Not everything is vegan

Delicious ice creams - Edit
Massimo gelato has a few locations in Ams and serves incredibly good ice creams! The vegan ones taste like “normal” ice creams. Everyone will enjoy it!
Read moreThe place is very popular, there might be a queue outside on the warm days. There’s a bench to sit outside but you may prefer to grab it and go 🍦
Pros: Delicious ice cream, Lot of vegan flavours

Plenty of vegan flavors, though wish there were more for the sake of variety. Great taste, great texture, high quality gelato worth the price.

Great vegan ice cream - Edit
A few vegan flavors were proposed when I visited (clearly labeled). I tried the chocolate and pistachio, which were both very good. I recommend it!

Best vegan chocolate ice cream I even had! - Edit
This is my favorite ice cream shop in Amsterdam. I cycle 20 minutes to get an ice cream here. There are many dairy variants, but I always go for the sorbet or vegan ones. There are a number of options, of which the chocolate is my favorite.
Read moreThe crew is always friendly and takes the time to properly help you. So there can be a little queue. Worth the wait!
BTW their espressos are also nice.
Pros: Best vegan ice cream I came across in Amsterdam, Friendly helpful crew, You can sit inside and outside, in the sun

fave gelato place. - Edit
pistacchio & nocciola are my absolute favorites. the vegan gelati are super creamy and have no artificial taste whatsoever. unfortunately the cones are not vegan, so bring your own spoon, to save their plastic ones.

€1.60 a scoop now, cone not vegan - Edit
An update from the previous reviews - scoops now €1.60 still a total bargain!
Read moreMy partner and I had been in the wine bar opposite and seen the mega queue and buzz so I went back. I took the hazelnut and chocolate. Hazelnut is the star in the vegan range for sure the rest are usual flavours.
I'm zero waste and took my own spoon (only plastic available on site and the cone isn't vegan). Looked like you can buy litres on site there but not sure if you can bring your own containers.
Pros: Hazelnut , Cheap and high quality , Benches outside to eat and seating inside
Cons: Queue, No vegan cone , Plastic spoons

SO GOOD - Edit
When my boyfriend and I arrived at Massimo’s there was a queue of 10-15 people out the door and it was soon clear why! The ice cream and sorbets were both DELICIOUS and reasonably priced at €1.50 a scoop. I had the chocolate and hazelnut vegan flavours which tasted just like ferrero rocher!

Yum yum yum - Edit
Delicious! They have flavours like almond, pistachio, hazelnut and chocolate vegan sorbet. It's called sorbet but it is still reasonably creamy. Very nutty and obviously good quality. My husband and I found it delicious. We went on a Sunday and there was a cue out the door the whole time we were there. Will definitely go back.

handmade icecream - Edit
There were 4 vegan non-sorbet flavours when I visited Massimo. The one wirh dark chocolate with orange was really good, it tasted like a fine praline and I could distinguish real orange parts. Staff knows very well what vegen means. Price was 1,50 for one flavour.
