Light, airy space, lots for vegans

We came here for weekend all day brunch and I was impressed with the range of vegan options on the menu. We had the Vegan Brunch Stack which was really good although I found the tofu scramble to be very heavy on the turmeric. We will definitely be back here again to try other items from the menu if we’re in the area in the future!

A light, bright and tasty brunch place

Fast and efficient delivery of vegan pancake stack brunch with extra hash browns.
Came with pancakes, smoked aubergine as bacon, hash browns, scrambled tofu and Smokey beans. A filling plate and all very flavourful. Although they do lean heavily into the turmeric.
We will be back again as there are a fair few vegan options that need sampling

Pros: Vegan offerings are a standard, A very pleasant environment , A good range and fast delivery

Cons: Limited to Brunch style dishes, Actually didn’t get what I ordered, There’s meat in here!

Nice food, didn't expect aubergine slices when the menu said 'facon' but my bruch was overall tasty.

Tasty food, great humanist ethics

A stunning, community interest cafe. Although they do serve meat, there were veggie and vegan options and plant milk available. The food was very tasty and staff extremely friendly. Dogs were welcome. There's a scheme where those in need of food can work in advance for a meal voucher so nobody will be turned away hungry.

Pros: Chilli with nachos, Korean pulled jackfruit with fries, Others I can't remember!

Brunch

Went for weekend brunch - so many good vegan options including pancakes in as many ways as you can think of. I had the breakfast pancakes which was three large pancakes, maple syrup, two vegan sausages, mushrooms and tomatoes. My partner had the big breakfast stack which was a very large potato scone, 2 sausages, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes and a slice of sour dough toast - he added hash browns and they gave him two.
Both really enjoyed our food and it was all clearly marked as vegan on the menu. Oat milk available for tea and coffee.

Pros: Selection of food and price, Good food and coffee, Decor of the places

Cons: Still serves meat, Card only

Friendly and Welcoming

I recently visited Scotland, and had the good fortune to have Sunday lunch at the Unity Grill. It was so good, we went back again on the following Thursday.

The choice for vegans (my wife) and vegetarians (me), as well as my meat-eating daughter and grandson was great, and the staff made us feel very welcome.

Pros: Friendly staff, Excellent food, Good variety for vegetarians and meat-eaters

Tasty Homemade Food

The Unity Grill is not a vegan restaurant, but offers many vegan dishes on the menus and those dishes that aren’t vegan, can often be adapted by using vegan products. The restaurant opens early morning and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I enjoyed lunch there. I had a courgette and basil soup, with bread. (Non dairy spread was offered instead of butter) and then I enjoyed Nachos, topped with vegan chilli and vegan cheese. I chose to drink lemonade, but many juices, smoothies and even alcohol are on the menu. The staff are young and very friendly and welcoming.
The restaurant is in the town centre and is a relaxed place to eat. People of all ages appear to visit there and families are clearly welcome. The food I had was really tasty and I will definitely visit The Unity Grill the next time I’m in Ayr.
