Underwhelmed - Edit
I forgot to add sauce on top because I was tired, but either way I found the vegan okonomiyaki to be kinda underwhelming. The filling was mostly soggy cabbage.

Fun experience, yummy okonomiyaki! - Edit
One vegan hiroshima-style okonomiyaki on the menu: it's an open kitchen so you can see the food being prepared which is really fun! This is a local speciality so well worth trying here. The vegan option has many udon noodles, cabbage, mushrooms, beansprouts etc. it can't be compared to standard okonomiyaki that uses egg to bind everything together but it was still very flavourful and delicious!
Read moreThe chef came over to me with specially marked vegan sauce and seasonings for me to use. He also came over after I finished my meal and gave me a sticker which was really sweet. He seemed genuinely happy I chose to eat at his restuarant. Such a heart-warming experience!
How to get there: the entrance is down some steps from the street. There is a large seating area and then 5 seperate kitchens you can order from - Undo is one of these. The menu you are given has options for all the kitchens, but I'd highly recommend going with Undo's menu!
Pros: Friendly staff, Authentic experience

Super Tasty Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki! - Edit
I had attempted to visit another Okonomiyaki restaurant but the line was way too long for me and I was hangry and this place had caught my eye while on the way from the big "vegan" and "vegetarian" signs they had hanging outside their location, so I decided to go back and give that place a try. I am glad I did because it was great! The menu is clearly labeled with vegan & vegetarian options both within their regular menu, as then there is a page dedicated to those options as well so it's easy to determine what you can and cannot have as they list what is in it within the menu.
Read moreOnce ordered it came really quickly after they make it all fresh. I also asked to make sure I can eat some of the sauces and she pointed out which one was safe for me to have.
I ordered the vegan option and it was great, and did not disappoint! The crispy parts of the noodles were definitely my favorite part and the sauce used was full of flavor! Vinegary and a bit sweet (but not overly sweet). I would definitely go back again!
Something else I want to mention is I was sitting at the bar style seating that faces the kitchens and its impressive to see how hard they work in there! The one cook even came over to me specifically and asked to check on my order because she felt like I had been there too long - which I really did not think I had been, maybe 5 minutes tops. But for her to notice that and come and check on me and not send someone else was really kind. Then she gave me a cute little sticker as a "sorry" - which just goes to show their hospitality and that they want you to have a good experience! They were working super hard in there but one
- They are not accessible as overall you have to go up & down about 7-8 steps between getting into the restaurant & to some of the seating areas
- They have a restroom
- Order via a QR code on your phone and it was struggling to translate to English for me, but that could have been user error
Pros: Clearly labeled veg options, Super observant & friendly staff, Delicious, flavorful food
Cons: Not accessible for all people, Menu struggles
